Gas prices hit $5.49/gallon in the Bay Area.

Gas prices continue to climb in the San Francisco Bay Area as the war in the Middle East rages on. Are gas prices still increasing where you live? My commute to work is only a couple of miles each way, so I will not be affected that much until I head to Montana this Summer. Three of my students are performing this afternoon in a "Showcase" we hold every few months. Should be fun. It has warmed up to almost 70 F here. I may grab my bike and some seeds and head out to the bike path for some illegal planting. How is your Sunday shaping up?

It's more than $ 7.50 right now here and it will not stop to get up soon. Cold and sunny today, a pleasant Monday.

The average price for good gas here is between $3.60 and $3.79. Low grade gas can be as low as $2.65. I'm trying to catch up on here today.

We are paying $1.75/L here. That is the equivalent to 3 cents per tablespoon-imagine that. It is almost to the point where I would be taking public transportation if I didn't work from home.

I take public transportation most of the time, because of the parking problem. No parking in the center of town, even if I want to pay for it.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the showcase event. Fuel has gone up a lot here. We sold our motor-home at Christmas which is not turning out to be a good decision.

@TheHorse Sorry - typo - should be 'is NOW turning out to be good decision' simply because people will be a bit hesitant to buy a motor-home at the moment.

The worst countries are those having to import their fuel. Both the countries I stay alternatively, Singapore and India, fall into that category. The government is kept on their toes to manage this dicey situation.

What do people say there about Trump's actions in Iran? People here talk about the 25th Amendment, but I'll believe it when I see it.

@Shiva49 Trump has never been afraid to rob from the poor to give to the rich. "poorer countries are affected most all over Asia"

@TheHorse Countries in the Middle East are badly affected. Most were peaceful but this war has had collateral damage on them. Their main revenue, oil, has been taken out of the market. Then the petroleum importing countries with the closure of the The Strait of Hormuz. In fact, poorer countries are affected most all over Asia. NATO leaders choose to remain silent as airing their views will bring upon them the wrath of POTUS! As regards China and Russia, it is as Napoleon said 'Never interfere with an enemy while he's in the process of destroying himself.'!!!

I can find it for around $4 still, give or take. But I am sure that's temporary. Remember when we were kids, and we could get $5 worth of gas, and it took us a long way? Now, we would be lucky to get from pump 1 to pump 2 on that amount!!

Ouch to the gas prices there. Ours are just $3.29 or so. You probably can do a lot on your bike. I would fall over. I am resting today, somewhat.

@TheHorse We in Israel are also against it. I am a private teacher and I can't go out to my students. All the kids have to stay home, so if I go teach clarinet in my student's home, we will get interuppted. When school is working properly, the other kids are not home yet.. . .

That is the same price we pay in Israel for gas. 7.30 nis a liter, so we pay $7 a gallon. . . the price will go up too. BTW, I am against this war too.
