Do you like birthday cake?

I don’t care for sweets too much, but I do love birthday cake. Yellow cake inside, layered between vanilla custard, covered in buttercream, white icing, and lots of pink colorful flowers with green leaves and of course my birthday message.
Today we have 3 birthdays to celebrate, all from afar. It’s our daughter-in-law’s birthday, my husband’s best friend’s birthday, and my beloved cleaning lady’s birthday.
My brother doesn’t like birthday cake, and so he celebrated his birthday last week with the yummies in the photo.

Tell your brother that not liking birthday cake is Un American! The pasties in the pic looks good though too. Birthdays are just so celebratory!

I am a big fan of any kind of chocolate cake but not too much into anything directly that is a birthday cake, Latvians enjoy making a sweet treat called a klingeris for their birthdays. My mom always made them but I have never made any.

I don't care for sugar sweets but I do like many kinds of fruit ...... now a birthaday fruit basket sounds really good about now

Since I lost all that weight I have a general disdain for things that might put it back on. I get birthday cake yogurt from Yasso, but that’s it.
And yes, I used to love it…which is why I needed to lose 60 pounds!

Happy birthday to everyone. I ended up with a Black Forest cake on my last birthday. Oh my that was rich and not one person had a problem digging in. The pastries look divine. We have baklava in the freezer, waiting for Easter to arrive.
