We are alive and still kicking

I haven't hardly been here much for several days.
Lately, life in general has been rather tough. Not enough hours in the day, no matter how I arrange my time and my schedule. I have been making a big effort to get more rest this past week, and that has helped. The surgery my son had a few weeks ago unfortunately led to two separate infections that really kicked his tail and really made him so sick...last week two separate hospital stays. Endless antibiotic IV's, and so on. Finally, we are seeing the other side of this round and it is so, so welcome.
I feel as if I have either been at the hospital, the treatment center, or driving endless miles back and forth. We are both ready to stay home for a few days, wear our sweats, and just chill. One more appointment tomorrow, and then if it all goes as planned ( IF ) he has no appointments until next week! We are excited, like little kids!!
Anyway, that's pretty much the sum of my exciting life lately, and of his. Several here have prayed for him and for me, and it's been so, so much appreciated by both of us.
Thank you, Friends.

Very perceptive of you...and yes, you were right. I was feeling very overwhelmed. But that happens at times and I will be OK. Hope I didn't cause you to worry. I just couldn't even make my brain form more than one sentence for a few days...but hey, I dusted it off (the brain!) and it's time to resume the march...um except in my case, it's a crawl!!

He does qualify for that. However, there are not enough respite people for the demands, kind of like health care in general not having enough people. We do the best we can, thank you, Lenore.

Judy, they almost always put him in isolation to keep him from any new infections. Thank you so much.

I am glad, too. He will be taking antibiotics for some time but hopefully that will keep any infection from returning! Thank you.
