Freely Ungrateful

Years ago, on another site similar to Mylot (and now defunct), a member was complaining about a church that had been paying one of her monthly bills for a full year. This woman did not go to that church, had never donated to that church, but they were kind enough to pay that bill. Now, instead of being grateful for their year long kindness, she was being critical of their generosity. I remember thinking it takes a special person to complain about getting something for free, with nothing expected in return.
Have you ever encountered a person like that? I think it takes a lot of nerve.

I have a friend here who helps a lot of people out. Not with money but she finds resources for them if applicable, she has coached a few people in how to shop frugally and cook some good meals, and honestly I don’t know how she does it all. People like her are rare, as she gives of her time. We don’t all have time to give. She told me once that she has discovered it’s a lot easier to help people who want to help themselves or who try hard. I guess some might think she is being overly picky but I can understand that.

Well there are a lot of people like that here but none that I personally know. Just heard stories similar to that one.

Unfortunately, there are way too many people in the world like that now.
It reminds me of that line from CCR’s “Fortunate Son”: “When you ask ‘How much should we give,’ oh they only answer, ‘More, more, more, more.’”

What a terrible people, and ungreatful person.
I have encounter such a person, it was a begger. she's never grateful for the money I always give to her instead she keeps asking for more.
I think such people you just have to stop helping them.
