Indiana State Police Trooper Lieutenant Jeff Hearon answered an emergency call on Tuesday afternoon when he stopped to check on a disabled auto on Interstate 70 when he saw an 82 year old woman suffering from a heart attack while a member tried to assist the heart attack victim.
Officer Hearon stepped in and used Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for a period of 10 minutes before first responders came to take the elderly woman's pulse returned before she was taken via an ambulance took her to a local hospital where she is expected to make a full recovery.
I am sure that Lieutenant Hearon will receive a life saver award at a ceremony at police headquarters in the near future.

He really does deserve to receive the life saver award for what he did
Without him, a life might not have been saved

At that age, a heart attack can be quick, and fatal, and so she was very fortunate that someone who knew what to do came along, and she is now expected to recover well.
