How do you feel about reptiles?

How are you with reptiles? Of course, you might be mixed; the gecko being adorable, but this baby speckled snake may freak you out. This picture was sent from my best friend. She took the tarp off her pond, and this baby speckled snake was caught up in it. Pearle (the dog in the picture) was very curious, but my friend was not worried since these are non venomous snakes (they can actually eat venomous snakes without it affecting them). My friend lives on a lot of land in the country so she gets a lot of wildlife. So, how do you feel about them? And don’t worry, my friend got the picture and then released it.

Not afraid of them, but like most things from outside I don't want them in the house. That one is cute though.

@AmbiePam I’m an ophidiophobe. I used to suffer from terrifying nightmare if even I saw a snake on TV but that has subsided somewhat. It all stems from worrying experiences either serpents.

My poor dad will have a nightmare if he just sees one on TV.

@AmbiePam I’m with him. If I see one on TV I have to keep my eye on it to make sure it doesn’t get out and into the house. I had a very nasty experience on a beach in India where I spent the night and I’ve never recovered.

They are ok as long as they don’t come near me . I am not a fan. My son has a bearded dragon … Spike ….i talk to him a lot in his home …. When he is behind the glass it’s ok….when my son takes Spike out ….i don’t want him near me.

I've held all sizes of snakes, including holding the middle section of a 12 foot snake. As long as they're not venomous, I'm pretty cool with them.

I am neutral toward reptiles. I like our Western fence lizards, and am mutually respectful toward our rattlesnakes. But I don't think reptiles form real "attachments" with humans, so I just do my thing and let them do their thing.

Snakes are okay as long as they're not where I can see and touch them. A cage, a zoo, is a perfect place for me to see them.

I do not like snakes since I do not know if they are poisonous or not.
