More than Halfway, but It Takes a Long Time

Good Morning MyLotters, I am more than halfway to payout, but I'm definitely not going to make it this month! When I lost my job in October, I started posting here more often because I had more time. I like the community here, and I also felt it would be nice to be able to earn a few dollars, especially since I haven't been able to find a new job and my unemployment payments have run out.
But it's going very slowly for me. I think I had about a dollar back in October when I started posting more frequently, and yet I still have less than $3 now. Can you give me a little advice? Can you tell me how much you normally make in a month or how long it usually takes to reach payout? I don't post every day, but I do try to read and comment on other people's posts and respond to comments on my posts every day. Is there something I could do better? Thanks!

Well I made $15 last month easy enough
And I had 5 or 6days where I earned nothing as I wasn't really here.
I make payout every month
I think you need to interact more, build a readership, and take it from there
Maybe.you need to spend more time here as well
I think @Ladyduck would be the best person on here to offer advice, as when I followed her posting model I did make more

@AliCanary @Ineeddentures - Commenting is the key, of course if the members answer back. There are a couple who never answer back. You quickly learn who they are and avoid them.
Jim is a very good member, he always answers.

Yes, Ladyduck doesn't post many things but is always good about commenting.

I rarely post new discussions but just respond and comment on other peoples' discussions here. I normally, as long as I can see to visit, reach payout once a month. Sometimes it's a struggle for me, too.
I talk to new-to-me people as well as those I've always considered friends on myLot. Most of the time the new people don't respond and I shrug and visit with old friends instead.

@AliCanary Yes, that's true. Most of the time I get into good conversations with different people here so manage as well as those who do post discussions. A lot of the time I can be quite chatty even when I can't think of discussions to write.
We're paid for any responses to our discussions, likes on comments and responses we receive and comments other people make to us on any discussion.
Some people don't allow us to talk to other people on their discussions. They're missing out on free pennies by telling us to stop talking with others on their discussions. (I usually avoid talking at all to those people.
So they miss out on my responses and comments to the OG, as well.

@DaddyEvil wow, I can't imagine doing that! That's like hosting a party and not letting people talk to anybody but you because it's your house, lol

It's good that you can make a decent amount just by commenting. I was wondering about that, because I thought I remembered Go Ask Alice saying it's based on creating engaging content. I guess that means comments, too!

I haven’t been here for almost two years. When I returned, I had some leftover over money in my account, but not enough to make payout. However, I made it once, since, and expect to for the month of March. I read what DE said, and agree. However, I try to post daily, but not this past week which, I explained in a post to my myLot friends. I usually only respond to people that leave responses on my posts. I’ve tried commenting on other posts. If they don’t respond, I move on and stick with my friends. I know some people here who don’t post discussions and just comment. They always seem to make payout.

I used to just check my Follows discussions and comment on those, but lately I've just decided to go to Recent discussions, since a lot of it is my friends, anyway. If people do comment on my post, I always make sure to go back and leave them a comment, too (although sometimes they are doing that for me, lol)

Yes, it's nothing like what I could make hourly at any job, but when I'm stuck at home, every little bit helps.

I rarely miss making payout. I try to post something interesting twice a day and I comment on almost all the discussions put up by people I'm following. Maybe I'd to better to comment more and write less. It's hard to know sometimes. I don't know if my time zone makes a difference too. I'm now posting later in the day (my day) so people hopefully get to see the discussions more quickly.

Lately I've been making $7-10 a month. I spend 2-3 hours here every day. First I do all the Notifications, then I read and respond to ALL the Discussions from the people that I follow. Good luck! It's nice to see you here more often!

That’s the way to do it
