I hope I am able to send this post. My laptop is broken and I cannot write easily here. The screen is black and white when it is better. And at times there is a horrible sound and everything shuts down.
I am thinking about buying a new laptop but right now I don´t have the money. In this month I have to pay taxes for my house and it is a lot. Ans ever sincethere is a new President here, my expenses have gone up. I´m glad that I have some means but My heart aches for the poor people.
Martín has been coming as usual and Diego, my youngest grannson (Tania´s youngest son) came twice.
I have been eating mainly what´s in the fridge as Anita has had to go to the hospital. Today I made an omelette with a bit of rice, finelly cut bunch onions and diced blue cheese. Delicious!

I have to think a lot before incurring in any minor luxury. This month I bought a cake for my friends´ visit but I don´t have money for a new laptop.

I know. The world id insane. I´ll have to use my old laptop until I sell my house. The list of expenses is a long one.

@marguicha - The price of everything is going up because of the Iran war here in Europe. This summer there will be no more fuel for the airplanes, this is going to damage many tourist places.

I am kind of in limbo until my appointment with the neurologist in September. I'm having trouble walking and keep falling down. I rarely go outside anymore because the last time I fell, I cut my scalp open and had to have stitches. (I'm fine now. Pretty took the stitches out yesterday, I think. It might have been the day before yesterday.)
Mostly, I'm reading new-to-me ebooks on my phone and watching YouTube videos or playing on myLot.
trump is causing problems everywhere these days.

@marguicha We keep hoping somebody else will cancel their appointment... The neurologist has a full slate of people who need to see her. I'm sure they need her just as much as I do. I can wait.

I am sorry to hear Anita is ill. I hope she feels better soon. And computer woes can be so frustrating. Your friend Martin, maybe he might know of someone reliable who could have a look at it?

Anita has been ill from before I met her years ago. But she prefers to work and I don´t let her do anything that means too much work.

i'm glad you get to eat this delicious food. yes, taxes and all the rest. it is just going up and up. job searching mostly for me. take care and hoping your laptop would listen to you until you get a new one

I´m learning to do what I can with my broken laptop but it is not much. For me bills and food come first and laptops are not at the top of my list.

Anita has cancer and I´m not sure how much is under control. But she looks well and does not complain. She tells me that she prefers to work than to stay at home. Here she eats well and I tell her that she must not do any thing that means too much work.

Yesterday I had cooked chicken in mushroom sauce for Martín but he did not come as he had a cold. We ate part of it with Anita and I also ate some today but will place the rest in the freezer. I don´t like to eat the same food for many days on a row.

I've been getting estimates to get the house painted; and someone is coming today to perform maintenance on my standby generator.
