Well what can I say
I must be starting to get old
Fell asleep in my chair watching TV last night
First time ever.
Yvonne grabbed my phone before I dropped it
Shook me vigorously
And told me it was bed time
At 11.30pm if I recall correctly
Earliest bed for me in 29 years!!
Imagine falling asleep on a chair watching telly!?
No booze
No weed
Just snoring which annoyed my wife
I'm only 65. Shouldn't be doing that.
Should I?

I think it’s normal to occasionally fall asleep watching television. I have done it in the past. You needed the sleep.

I sure did
But I don't think I have ever slept for 14 hours before
I was up to the bathroom a couple of times but other than that must have slept soundly

Happens ..At least you aren't like friend. He's asleep more than he is awake.

Yvonne suggested I had been sleeping for a while.
I think she meant five minutes
Then she got irked with the snoring , she said, and shook me

@ineeddentures No, you’re not old. It’s just a comment on how anaesthetising TV content can be.

To be honest I don't even remember what Yvonne was watching as I snored.
But I nearly had a heart attack when she shook me

Hope you don't start finding other things happening that are associated with getting old.

I mean the other day we visited my pal from school Paul.
He was saying a mutual friend has started wearing paper under wear.
I said to Paul it would be funny if he had to do the same
And he said it would be funny if I had to

@Ineeddentures I hope you are nowhere near needing paper under wear.

So do I.
I mean the bumps.of.the bike on the road could make a body fill a paper pants in no time here.
Very bumpy some of the roads.
I would need to cut my liquids consumption down , oh god no please because I like my coffee too much

I have not fallen asleep mid conversation except on My lot
And that is what happened last night whilst watching TV at the same time
Thanks for saying I am still young

@Ineeddentures Okay that is a fair point. I am a busy mom and wife. But still normal I think.

Deffo normal, no doubt about that.
Busy moms and wife's deserve a nap after working so hard to look after kids and keep a house and maybe work a job as well

Yes but you are most likely a busy house wife.
I am not a busy man compared to how I used to be

It was my dad’s favorite thing to do. He did that when I was a child (and he was in his 30s).

My 65 lol is the new 45!
I retired when I was just over 55
And despite the onset of old people's problems.
I am young at heart.
Like I bet you feel like 50.

I was going in and out of sleep last night on my couch watching The Voice (US).
My dad used to fall asleep while watching TV on the couch.1 person likes this

No much wonder
The Voice is the most fake show of them all
And boring
A good way to go to sleep
Watch the voice ,

I do doze off when I'm watching telly to I think it just a natural thing, doesn't matter if you are young or old.

@Ineeddentures I've seen wrestlers and martial arts experts sleeping on chairs. None of the was over 20.

No
But I have never ever ever ever fallen asleep in a chair before.
So I think this means I might be starting to get old
