We had such a wonderful Friday

Hubs finished rehab today and bought bagels, doughnuts, a fruit platter, and the works for the wonderful staff.
Together we went for vaccinations, then out to lunch, and did a bit of shopping.
We hung out with friends at the pool for a bit. Today was such a gorgeous day!
My brother called from Connecticut. He loves being back there.
We’re getting a new car. It’s being built now and should be ready sometime towards the end of May or June. It will replace the one we have in Florida which will be shipped home Tuesday.
Now I am relaxing on the lanai with my Friday date night martini. Pizza for dinner.
Photo is of my Weeping Cherry Tree in Connecticut which I never get to see in full bloom anymore. This photo will have to do.

Thank you! The photo of the tree is rather old, but I love to look at it online. When we get home, the tree is only green with zero pink flowers.
This car has been in the works since January. Happy to know that it’s coming soon.
That martini hit the spot!

@celticeagle I don’t care for whiskey except bourbon in Coke. Hey, enjoy your whisky! So many people I know don’t drink or gave it up.

That tree really caught my attention. It’s beautiful and in full bloom, making it look absolutely gorgeous. It reminded me of one I saw in Washington, D.C., during the Cherry Blossom season when I visited about eight years ago. It was such a lovely sight to see those blossoms lining the streets, creating a stunning and unforgettable scene.

@DianneN - It was not a Jaguar, we had two Jaguars one green and one maroon. I prefer not to mention here which car. It was "that British car" and a convertible" I hated that car, too expensive, too large, I had the feeling that everybody turned the head to looks who was inside the car. I was so happy that my husband disliked it and he sold it for a Mercedes.

Your husband must have been livid! So what happened?
We had the car we have now built and it took 6 months. Hubs and I went over the colors, features, wheel spokes, etc. very carefully for the new car and signed off on it. It shouldn’t be a problem. We’ve dealt with this dealership for about 25 years. The funny thing is that we got calls from our Florida dealership, which we only use for servicing, to buy from them and one call from some other dealership in CT to buy from them!

@LadyDuck That’s hilarious! It must have been a Jaguar. We had a beautiful green one, but decided never again. When I was a young teenager, I always dreamed the ideal cars would be a sedan for going out, a station wagon (now SUVs) for family outings, and a sports car for fun. My dream came true. Hubs bought a new SUV in July. All we buy now are Mercedes. I do want a Bentley convertible or even a Maybach, but my friend at home said they would be keyed. We will see. Hubs is too cheap!

You're welcome. I'm glad the doctor here didn't tell me I need rehab after either of my falls. I wasn't happy getting stitches in my scalp, let alone taking a chance of falling again before they were taken out!

@DaddyEvil Hubs needed rehab anyway besides from his trips to the floor. His gait has been off since his neck surgery years ago. He went to rehab afterwards, but he’s so stubborn and insists he’s just fine.
If you happen to fall, just try to protect your head.

A Mercedes sedan. Hubs bought a Mercedes SUV last July. And we have an older Mercedes sports car with a hardtop convertible that we bought in Florida our first of second year here. We only drive it when it’s a nice day or evening. It only seats two, so it’s good for nothing but fun.
