Color me green until sometime toward October

I detest how painful it is for me to do any property work. Just hate it. I have a steep learning curve with machines. Right now my nemesis is a battery powered weed whacker. The Weeder is longer than me. It's battery has been defying me. Today I learned that red light bars means the battery is fully charged. I learned to drive and stop with anything red. Green meant go. Not with this Weeder. I mowed using a battery powered mower earlier today. Tonight it appeared that finally the Weeder battery was charged. I was pretty tired but also just had to know so I trooped out to the shed with the battery and grabbed the Weeder. Yahoo. Power and power that did not quit after a single swipe. Good gravy the area behind the shed is thick with tall weeds and grass. And lovely bluebell flowers.
Nope. I didn't have the oomph to do the entire job. It looks like I gave it a good go and that to me is good enough.

That's how the battery for our electric mower powers up and tells us it is ready for use, too. The lights are green while it's charging and then turn red when the battery is full. Why would they make it so backwards to everything we've learned/been taught all our lives?
I'm glad you got some of the weeding done. That sounds good enough to me, too. Good job!

@sallypup You're very welcome. Our yard is about 2 acres and we mowed it with a push mower. I'm honestly glad the neighbor is doing all the mowing now. It would wear me out mowing that much. He uses a riding mower on our yard.

Thanks @DaddyEvil. This place is huge! Even with garden boxes there is a ton of grass and weeds to mow.

I hate having to deal with my weedy grass.

@sallypup I am thinking of getting ground cover of some kind so mowing is not necessary. However, the way my yard is so hidden..during the warm season, it hardly seems like a big priority.

Could you get someone who can do this for you?

@RasmaSandra My gardening buddy's mower broke. I will eventually get some help but this will ongoing all through the summer.

Every set up is different. I am glad it works. Mine is not that big but it needs new batteries. It had belonged to my son. He says the batteries are only good about five years.

@wolfgirl569 Thanks. No gas to mess with and no fumes in my face. You're right. I just have to get used to it.

We can only do what we can do so good enough is "good enough"

You figured out the battery and got some done. Good enough is enough. But why until October?
