Early to bed, early to rise

I need good brain power tomorrow, so I am going to go to bed very soon. I just have to make sure Pedro is inside.
Bruno is already ensconced in the middle of the bed waiting for us. Bob is reading.
Tomorrow we will drive about an hour for a third party evaluation of Bob's hearing loss to decide if it is related to his military service. Wish us luck. If it is he will likely get some disability payment.
When we get home I am going to tackle the IRS phone line again and see if I succeed better than last Friday.
Good night and sweet dreams. It will be a beautiful day tomorrow.

I know that can be tough. In more recent years they seem to be more fair about the evaluations. In addition to this we are trying to see if his prostate cancer and kidney disease are service related.

@GardenGerty - One of my uncle obtained disability, but he was taken down with his aircraft during war and needed to walk with a cane for the rest of his life.

I hope the eye exam goes well. It's sure warm here today. I'm a night owl so I usually don't get to sleep until mid- morning. The kids are usually up by 8a. or so sometimes later.

My hearing loss was attributed to my military service
I hope Bob gets the same verdict as I got
Amazingly though my hearing came back, which surprised me

I would be very surprised if it it did, considering it has been almost fifty years and he is 80 years old now. Very profound loss. They do at least give him hearing aids though.

Thank you so much. It pays to get around and leave early. Even after having to ask for directions to the proper building we were a half hour early and he was seen immediately.

They should tell anyone thinking about joining the military that hearing loss is part of the package. I pray he gets compensation.

The audiologist is one from our local VA. Evidently she has some extra training. They have her work out of a private office for these screenings. The numbers she showed us were impressive in a negative way.

Good luck with the appointment tomorrow. And good luck with the IRS, too.
If I can see tomorrow, I need to call the garage and get a jumpstart on the car again. I'd like to go out and grab some groceries and pick up some Chinese food tomorrow afternoon.

@GardenGerty Thank you. I got a shower and couldn't see when I got dried off. My eyes might open back up again in a little while. If they do before the garage closes, I'll call about getting a jumpstart.
Pretty told me to check and see when the garage can get the car in and work on it again. We really need it fixed.

We had quite the hunt for the proper building in an office complex. They numbered the buildings weird. Building 250 was actually behind 260. We needed 250. I could not find it, and asked for assistance in 240. The nice man who helped me showed me, and said it happens all the time.
