Yesterday was chaos, today I´m ready.

Yesterday Diego, my grandson, came. I had told him to arrive at 1:30 so he came past 3 PM. I had to have some appetizers so that I would survive and as I live alone used aloud a part of the bad words I know.
I had decided to give him garbanzos too as I´m done with preparing special food for my grandchildren. He found them delicious anyway as my recipe has nothing to do with my daughter´s garbanzo recipe.
I made him wash dishes though but he managed to make a mess of the kitchen floor. Fortunatly Dixie and Humberto will arrive late so I will be able to clean up bit.
I had offered Diego to take home some garbanzos. But he parted while I was sleeping with no garganzos and no dining room sweeping. He did not say good bye either. But we had a nice moment watching a movie on TV. It was Frankenstein, the last version of it. It was interesting and moving, not the typical horror movie I decide Not to watch.
The garbanzos are ready and when the pressure cooker is clean I´ll cook some extra garbanzos I soaked to make hummus. I love my own hummus recipe as I use twice the tahine of the normal recipes.
Now I have to take a shower and decide whether I make a salad or heat some cocktail empanadas.See you later,

Diego annoys me and I don't even know him! How could he leave without cleaning up first?

I discovered finally that he was sound asleep upstairs. He did as he was told downstairs although he is rather messy according to my standards. He told me that he had made the bed although I doubt that he leeft them as they were.

@DaddyEvil My problem today is that today someone will come to see the house. I don´t know how he left the bed where he slept.

@marguicha At least he was still there. He didn't leave without telling you goodbye.
I'm probably messy according to your standards.

As long as you aren't trying to get upstairs to make the bed after him, then that's okay. Anita probably won't mind.

I discovered finally that he hadn´t left. He was asleep and tardy according to what he had to do. He does not meet my standards of order though.

I think that was rather rude of Diego, First arriving late and later not saying good bye, He needs to ahve better manners, Anyway, glad you'll have Dixie and Humberto for a visit,

He hadn´t left and he was asleep upstairs. He left tardy. He is not rude buut he is not trained. I´m trying to do it although it is rather late. His mother should have done it many years ago.

I am sorry he couldn't manage to get there on time. I am glad you didn't make him a huge meal, and that he did the dishes, but sorry he made another mess of the floor for you to deal with. I hope he shows some responsibility one of these days, and actually arrives on time. Have a nice time with Dixie and Humberto!

He is not rude but was never trained as a child from what I can see. He is just like a big pup.

I am sure you are glad to see him even though he is not really thoughtful of you.

He is not rude and he loves me dearly. But he was not trained. I have to treat him like a child as manners go. He laughs but he tries to do as he is told.

@marguicha That changes the sound of things. I just don’t like the thought of anyone not appreciating you how you should be appreciated.

@AmbiePam I know that he has some problems that need psychiatrists and psychologists. My daudhter has never wanted to tell me what it is. But I think that in an old fashioned way, he has not been trained when he was a child.

Finally I discovered that he was sound asleep upstairs. He did as he was told downstairs although he is rather messy according to my standards. I told him that his table manners were like those I had seen on TV from people in jails. He laughed and tried. But I don´t understand why my daughter did not teach him while he was a boy.

@LadyDuck I cannot understand why people who can use musical instruments are not able to use a fork or a spoon in a proper way. I´m telling Diego that in my house at least I want him well seated at the table and using spoon, fork and knife properly. I hope I am able to teach him before I die.

@marguicha - When they do not learn when they are young they cannot change when they grow up. I am so picky about good manners, particularly table manners.

He is not rude. But my daughter just did not train him. He is trying but I have to keep on telling him to wash his hand with soap both sides, eat well and all those things that you tellsmall children. I finally discovered that he was sound asleep when I called him.

@marguicha fair enough. If that is the case, I hope he is taking notice of what you tell him.

Diego needs to be more proactive when it comes to cleaning up after himself.
