My Thursday Alarm On a Friday Morning AND a Chance To Brag

Happy Friday Everyone! I know I mentioned yesterday that the lawn crew wasn't here and they are usually my Thursday morning alarm clock. Well, at 8am this morning they were buzzing next to my house and woke me up.
It was about a half hour earlier than I had set my actual alarm clock for but I got up, showered, dressed and came downstairs in time to have coffee with my daughter before she had to start work.
I have to brag about my grandson (my oldest daughters son) who is finishing his 3rd year at college. He's majoring in music and is amazing at playing the trumpet. He posted a video of himself (on Instagram) playing the trumpet with a piano accompaniment. It literally blew me away. (brag, brag) He has been playing in many concerts and the past two years (Christmas and Easter) he's been invited to play at some big cathedral here in Pennsylvania.
He'll be home for the summer next week and the local high school music teacher has invited him to come and teach some classes since he'll be home before our school year ends. He'll also be teaching band camp at the high school mid-summer.
I don't' know where he gets his talent from because there's no one else in the family that has any musical talent.
It should be interesting to see how he parlays this into a music career when he graduates.
With all the grandchildren I have, each one is talented in different ways.

@Marilynda1225 That is so funny. My 3 brothers and I all had to take piano lessons. I had to endure more years of them than they did. My older brother went on to take guitar lessons and my brother right behind me was allowed to not take anything after a year of piano-he wasn't musically inclined, but my baby brother, he took on the accordion. Oh those missed notes were so painful to hear.
You know, I think of your Mom every year around Mother's Day, I'm sure that she is smiling down on you.

I hope Harper loves playing the piano. I took piano lessons when I was young (probably before my teenage years) and hated it. My mom was mad and said my tears were staining the keys
I never wanted to play piano but my passion was the accordion and my mom adamantly refused
Maybe I could be a famous polka player now!!!

Your grandson could be the next superstar in the music business playing the trumpet in a few years.

That is really neat. Maybe you will be able to go to some of his concerts this summer. It seems like in families, there is always one that has a talent that is unique to them.

I think you're right. None of the other grandkids nor any one in my family that I can think of has any musical talent. It must go back generations

Oh, nice! So you may get to see him in person once in a while this summer.
Our neighbor mowed our yard again a couple of days ago but didn't wake either Pretty or I up with the noise of his mower this time.
I could tell her mowed when I looked out my bedroom window and saw the grass around the trash can had been cut. I need to go over and visit with him for a minute and take him a check to pay for the next three times he mows our lawn.
It is very quiet here this morning. The loudest thing I can hear is the fan blowing across my bed.
I just finished eating a bowl of ice cream and am catching up on myLot now.

That's nice that your neighbor not only mowed for you but didn't wake you while doing it, Our crew comes here with multiple ride on mowers and they zip around for hours,

Sounds like the lawn crew fell behind somehow.
Hope he can find a great career

@Marilynda1225 I've tried playing but
I said I'll do it next time until I never do it at all.
