On the rocks…

As I was walking home a few days ago I saw something shiny lying on the rocks.
I stopped and bent down to see what it was.
Turned out to be a nickel (5¢).
I picked it up and put it in my pocket.
I like finding coins unexpectedly and in places I wouldn’t expect.

Funny you mention finding change. I find it all the time and I always scoop up my finds. Yesterday, at Walmart, when we were checking out, when the cashier spun the bag round to me, there was a dime lying there. I grabbed my bag AND the dime. lol

One time I bent down to pick up what I thought was a dime. It turned out to be a battery lol. Another time I bent down to pick up a dime and it ended up being embedded into the asphalt so there was no way for me to pick it up.

My daughter is always finding money while she is out and about. Usually paper money though.

@celticeagle I didn’t pick it up because it was at the bottom of the escalator and I noticed it as I was getting off.

Lucky her. I found paper money only once. And I didn’t pick it up. When I went back to get it a minute later it was no longer there.

I found a dime last week inside the laundromat. The machines only take quarters, but I kept the dime. Ten cents richer.

I don’t pick them up 100% of the time. Especially if they are pennies.

I regret not picking up the quarter I noticed by the Asian supermarket in the parking lot. When I went back for it, it was already gone.
