There were only a few museums I liked in my childhood, but that’s probably because kids just don’t get into that. I loved the Science Museum though. It was just so fascinating! It had so many cool things, and now my sister’s kids can go and enjoy it too.
Pictured is my six year old niece, Annelyn, at the Wizard of Oz museum yesterday in Kansas. I know there are other Wizard of Oz museums, but it’s only fitting one is in Kansas.
I think the last museum I went to was that one of glass bottles in New Mexico, back in November on our way to Disneyland. The last traditional museum I went to to was the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City with a friend of mine two years ago. My friend is one who looks at every exhibit for ages, so you know my back was killing me (despite places to sit).
By the way, if you ever get a chance to visit @FourWalls go to their restaurant if you can. They serve food common to what Native Americans ate and grew (plus more).
What was the last museum or exhibition you visited?

I would agree going to the one in Kansas would be the best.
I didn’t know @FourWalls owned a restaurant. Very cool you got to go there. Do you live nearby or did you have to travel far?

@shaggin — I don’t own a restaurant; however, I do pay the light bill for Chuy’s as much as I eat there.

I do enjoy museums and go fairly often. I went to one in Shenandoah National park about six weeks ago. It probably wasn't a true museum as it was in a visitor center but they had a lot of historical artifacts, pictures..video of Roosevelt speaking, news clippings and and pics of Shenandoah residents. I liked it a lot actually.

@AmbiePam I thought so. Most museums are interesting in their way.

I think the Aliceville POW Museum in Alabama was my last museum, if you don’t count the artwork at the St. Bernard Monastery or the outdoor history at the Cataract Falls Recreation Area. Aliceville was amazing, if spooky to come face-to-face with Hitler’s silverware set.

Just now
Our son and his wife take the babies to the London Children's Museum frequently.
They offered to get a family membership so that Grandpa can take the girls there during the week, as there are so many learning opportunities.
The last museum that we visited was last August in Goderich. It was of the local gaol. It was alot of fun and took us a couple of hours to go through it all.

That would have been back in Riga, Every May on some date we had what was called Museum Night and all the museums were open and free that one day, You could do as much or little as you wanted to, I found the explanation online
Museum Night in Riga, Latvia, is a vibrant cultural event that showcases numerous museums and cultural venues across the city. This year, it will take place on May 23, 2026, featuring extended hours from 19:00 to 00:00, allowing visitors to explore permanent displays and special events
