I’m so happy to be back in Connecticut, but so overwhelmed! I still haven’t had a chance to fully unpack.
My nice new next door neighbor came over with this lovely gift basket with her two children. Little Artie, her 3 year old son, seems to love me as you can see in his card. On the reverse side, he also loves my husband, too! He’s been asking for us for the last 5 months.
I want to apologize for letting my notifications disappear. I promised to drop by at least weekly, but with weeding, starting only some of my flower seeds, shopping for essentials, visiting friends and family, appointments, landline phone problems, starting up services, dealing with the good and the bad, including my nosy copycat neighbor across the street, etc…….., I just don’t have the time until everything settles down for a bit.
Hope to see you soon and more often!

Glad to see you back!
I am also back here after many days.
Life has seen tremendous changes
Good part is that Indo-US interaction here is still strong even with the best of the intentions of your great MAGA Prez.
It is so bad on part of Noble Peace Committee not to give him Noble prize for stopping so many wars !
Anyways, nosy copycat neighbor means that you could be up with some "exciting" / "challenging" everyday tales!!
I have one question- that might sound silly.
I believed that you used to stay in NYC and then moved to Florida.
Is Connecticut the place where one of your son lives?
A few years back, I was hesitant to ask such questions.
Now, I am less restrained!!
Have a great Friday ahead !

It’s always nice to hear from you. Remember, I never voted for that lunatic either time.
I already have had several tales to tell about my nosy copycat neighbor. Each are so irritating to me.
I live in Connecticut and so does my younger son. My older son used to live in NYC with his wife and my grandkids, but moved to New Jersey when covid hit. He still works in NYC.
Feel free to ask me anything anytime!
Happy Happy Friday!

@MarieCoyle I tried storing my spices in the freezer, but they were ugh! I just buy new spices when I get to FL. I barely cook, so just buy whatever I need at the time. I now give my spices to various friends in FL. Somehow, my spices remain good in CT. It’s just a slight pain in the neck for me. However, I don’t blame your aunt. Spices are so expensive.
I’m sure being confused is normal. It happens every year. My sister-in-law has 3 places. I truly don’t know how she manages.

We had an aunt and uncle who spend from late December until May every year in Florida. Aunt always said getting the kitchen down to nearly nothing before leaving for Florida was hard, and then doing to same in Florida to return again. One thing she did do was never leave her cooking spices in one house when she went to another--she packed them in a small plastic tote and they went to the house they were going to be in. She always wanted her spices to be fresh.
You will soon be adapted again and then you will go through it all when you get back to Florida. I think that's normal.

Thank you. I always get on a plane right foot first, touch the outside of the plane, pray, and hubs and I hold hands during takeoff. The man sitting next to me thought it was sweet that we hold hands. Lol. I didn’t bother telling him that it’s a ritual.
Thank goodness these neighbors are so wonderful, unlike the nosy, copycat neighbors across the street!

Glad you're home safe and sound. Too bad theres always the problems that surface but hopefully those will be dealt with and gone in no time.
I just thought ot something, those copykat fools can't follow you to FL, so they only get to see you for the summer .... hmmmm, I'm trying to think of something funny you could do just to see if she follows suit but I confess I iz stumped.
I was thinking maybe you could set up a slip n slide just to get her attention then invite her to slip??

Thank you! Hubs had an emergency dental appointment, but he’s good. The two visits and multiple phone calls for our landline are fine now. Hubs fixed our mailbox post that the snow plow knocked down. Half of the shrubs have been trimmed. Grass was replaced where the trees and stumps were removed. Managed to plant some flowers and herbs, but still need the garden turned and more weeds to pluck or kill..
Funny about my copy cat neighbors. Her mother was in the window watching me trim my roses. To let her know I saw her watching, I have. And she waved back!
Her copycat daughter saw my neighbor come with the gift basket while we were all outside. And two days ago, saw me give my neighbor a pair of unworn, beautiful leather pants and a gorgeous pair from Italy. She actually decided th check her mailbox just so she could get a better look and listen to our conversation. She waved a lot, but I just raised my hand in one tiny wave and ignored her. So far she copied my orange tops that I wore last fall and put out flickering solar lights like mine, but in a different color.

I could go on and on……

And what does your hubby say about you collecting younger men?
Whenever you can make it to myLot is fine with us.
I haven't been here for the last week, either. I couldn't see again. *shrug*

How much do you want to keep silent?
Well, I hope it doesn’t happen very often. Just take care of yourself.

@DianneN Cool! Wow, I never met a CEO of a landscaping company.
I always wonder how their minds can perceive such creativity! I really admire them.

@luisadannointed He’s really good at what he does. I have seen some of his work in my son’s neighborhood and what he has done to his own yard since he moved in 2 years ago.

@DianneN I will think of some ideas and let you know …..
Number 1….
Hire a 12 foot dinosaur and put it in your front garden. Let her buy one then send yours back ….

Thank you! I was quite happy about the card. He made me open it first after showing me the stickers he chose for the envelope.
I hope people here understand about the notifications. They are difficult to find, especially when you don’t have much time to be here.
