Simple: book a hotel for a Fall stay in big city Phoenix.
Ha. Daughter and I chatted on the phone today and she informed me that it is cooler in October than September. I called the hotel back and was informed that I had no reservation at the hotel. I read the confirmation number again. The desk clerk then informed me that there are three of the same motels- one south, one north and one downtown. I finally got that straightened out. Then I had the joy of finding the hotel's phone number- not Reservations. com etc. etc.
I am more than delighted to have the chore done and over with and unraveled.
I hope I will not be involved in medical matters then. And I hope hubby really is up for an airplane adventure.

Yeah, Phoenix is mostly desert so take warm jammies with you, usually the days are very warm but the nights are really cold.
I haven't been through Phoenix since 1985 and I wouldn't want to go through it again.
Do you know what part of Phoenix that hotel is in?

My SIL lives in Phoenix; and we were there more than 20 years ago. It was horribly hot during the day. I hope you enjoy your trip.
