Good morning from Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. The current temperature is 60 F at 7:30 AM. The high for today is 79 F with thunderstorms. I know you haven't seen me much this year. That should change now. My goal for this year was to publish four books - Love's Illusion - Published February 18, Guns of War - Published April 4, Faith to Believe - Published April 16, In the Hands of Mighty Men - Published today May 18. I published In the Hands of Mighty Men at 4 AM. It's already available as an eBook. I expect the paperback will be available later today. I'm no longer in a heavy writing or editing season. However, that doesn't mean I won't be writing. The Lord gave me two new books this past week. The first is historical around the assassination of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. What I have already put together for the bones of this book is blowing my mind apart. It's going to be good, not that any of my books aren't. The second one He gave me is another book in the New Horizons series. I'm also working on three other books - A Heart Divided which became the first in a two book series. The second book is called Forged in Fire. Wilderness Call - the third book in the Wilderness four-book series. And More Than a Conqueror - a novel I'm still transcribing from handwritten into the computer. That's what I've been doing this year so far. Through it all, I've been dealing with a very bad back. When the weather gives me nothing but rain, my back feels the pressure and I spend most of my time on the heating pad. With my back in the state it is, I haven't been to church in a month now. I can't sit on those chairs. I tried once and came home to the heating pad. I had my wellness visit in March. I haven't been walking at all. I'm out of breath quickly. My doctor scheduled me for an EKG and stress test - normal. I had a lung function test last week - also normal. My chiropractor told me to make an appointment with my primary because she can't do much for my back right now. I have that appointment next week. I would really love to enjoy my social life again. My back is preventing a lot. I'll be glad when it's back to normal. I haven't been to church, rock painting, Writer's Guild, or the Writer's Workshop this past Saturday. No swimming and no walking. The only thing I can do is sit in my ergonomic chair and the recliner with the heating pad. So, here I am, catching up with you and letting you know what's up with me. How about you? What's new with you? Let me know in the comments below. I'll be here to interact with you every day again. Thanks for reading. The image is my new book.

I wondered if you were taking time off from myLot again... I'm sorry your back is bothering you and hope your doctor can get you better pain meds. I'm sure the heating pad is getting a real workout lately. I missed about a week or a little more because my eyes swelled completely shut again. Pretty just stacked dirty dishes up in the two kitchen sinks and heated up all the foods I had made and frozen for her to use when I couldn't see to cook. She does make me cold sandwiches if I ask for one, though, thank goodness! We've been buying sourdough bread and sliced chicken and sliced beef for sandwiches. She'll eat the meat but doesn't like the bread. *shrug* Take care of yourself, please.

@just4him Thanks. I usually listen to my laptop read to me or listen to favorite YouTubers when I can't see. You're very welcome. And I will if you will.

No, I wasn't taking time off again. I was in full writing mode. Pushing it to get my book published. I won't be publishing anything more for a while now. I'm now full writing mode and will be for quite a while, but I'm not pushing it like I did while I was working to get my books published this year. I just ordered my copies of In the Hands of Mighty Men, so that one will soon land on my bookshelf. I'm sorry your eyes were completely swelled shut. That must have been miserable. I'm glad Pretty could help with your meals. Thanks, I hope he can give me some meds that will help ease or get rid of this pain so I can function again. Take care of yourself too, please.

@DaddyEvil I am. I won't be on the computer much longer. My back is starting to beg for the heating pad.

That is a lot of writing, just in the first 5 months, but that is great. Sorry about your back. Hopefully you'll find something to help and get back to the things you enjoy. I know I am limited with my back and leg pain, and now knees.

Would it be worth it for you to hire someone to do your book covers? You'd probably earn more.

I can't afford it. I've found good covers on Pixabay. Though the cover above was done by AI before Microsoft got rid of imaging on Copilot.

You have been doing a lot of work in order to have four books published in the first four months of the year. I suppose that entailed a lot of sitting and late nights. Could that have contributed to the back problem?. I hope you can get some relief soon.

No. We had rain for a full week the first week of April that just killed my back. The pressure system literally made it hard to even walk. It's gotten better, but every time it rains which it has been doing a lot this year, my back feels every raindrop. My chair which is ergonomic, really helps to get the work done I need to do. Also the heating pad when things get to be a little too much.

Your back really is hampering you a lot. I hope it gets better soon Valerie I wasn't well either, probably still not so well. My legs, walking isn't so easy just now. And we are due to go on holiday on Saturday

I am so sorry to hear your back is that bad. I know how much you hate to miss church and all the other things you are involved with. Yesterday, I got to go to church and hear my dad preach, so I really enjoyed that.

Sorry to hear your back is so miserable. Do you have a degenerative disc disease or something? Is laser surgery an option?
