So, I am cleaning out my file cabinet, and I have a ton of my son's old school papers and stuff he made in school. I can keep the art projects but these papers are taking up way too much room. I know some people take pictures of them but these are worksheets and so forth too many to do that with. I hate to just throw them away..but they aren't serving a useful purpose..maybe I should just keep a few as a representation. What would you do?

I threw all of our son's stuff out.
It took me a couple of attempts to get it all gone, it pulls at your heartstrings.
If you are sure that you'd like to keep some of the worksheets, start a binder and put them into sheet protectors.
At least they will be all in 1 space and easily accessible.

@snowy22315 I would limit yourself to just 1.
I keep our quarterly statements for our investments in a 1 inch binder with dividers.
Jonathon knows right where to go to access what he will need when we go.
I hope that he keeps it as neat as we do.

I had a box saved from each child. I didn't save them all, of course--mostly some special ones, like little stories they wrote, and special pictures they drew, etc. Of course, they decided they didn't want them. I let them sit for some time, and then one by one I got them out and they decided to keep a few, and tossed the worksheets, etc. I kept a few special ones, too--a few little stories and pictures for each child. In the end, when I am gone they are no doubt going to toss them, but I did make the attempt. I guess it's a Mom-thing, it's sort of hard to let these things go at times, at least for me.

Son is a minimalist..I honestly don't think he would opt to keep any of them. I think these worksheets have got to go though. I guess I will just keep a small represatantional amount.

He might appreciate having a momento or two one of these days from his school years. It's hard to tell now. I think a small amount sounds fine, too.

@MarieCoyle I will ask before I toss the majority, but I can almost guarantee what he will say.

@snowy22315 - When I took out from the cabinet all those school papers I realized we never looked at them. We moved in a box every time we moved from one place to another. It was time to get rid of everything we do not need.

Sometimes it's hard to part with those treasures from childhood. Maybe just keep a few for sentimental reasons?
Or see if your son wants to keep any and then get rid of the rest.

Collect 1 several bundles, store them in the warehouse, grouping which are ordinary sheets and which are important sheets, so that they are easy to find, make sure the warehouse has good air circulation so that it is not damp and moldy when stored

i would honestly throw them all cause, i like minimal things but, since these are memories as well, keep a few of them

Keeping a few sounds a good idea.
