Are you like your online personality in real life?

After all of these years on the internet I've learned that there are some people who are truly themselves online while others present a curated version--positive or negative. While I've made many online friends over the years I've only had the opportunity to meet a handful in person. What I've learned is that people who meet me in person think I am nicer and funnier than I present via the internet. Apparently I'm some kind of online biotch. But when people meet me for real they see that I'm actually a nice person. I've truly seen people be shocked when they meet me. Not sure what they were expecting. I don't think I've met any myLotters but I've met people from other sites. They are always surprised. Sometimes those on my FB are interested that I'm more chill or funnier than I am here. Does your online persona match up with reality?

We all knew you’re an undercover sweetheart. I think my online persona is pretty much the same as what you get online already anyway. People would tell you I’m funnier in person, but everything else is pretty much the same thing. I’d love to meet you in person someday, and I really hope I do!

Yes, I think I am pretty much the same in person as I am online. I guess we could ask @FourWalls. I'm not good at trying to be someone I'm not. What you see, or in this case what you read, is what you get...I don't have time or inclination to be fake, haha! I know I would enjoy meeting you in person, maybe someday--hey, we never know!

I can see that about you on the site here. I see you as an easy going person as well, not sure about in person. I am basically alot like my online self. The only thing that online self doesn't show, is that she is the one who has a grocery cart full of stuff and sees another shopper get behind her in line with less than she has, and offers her space. But hey, I just firmly believe that we all just need to get along, and I hate to be a speed bump in anyone's day.

Good question. I don't think there is any difference to me on and offline.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out you were a closet sweetheart. I'm pretty much the way I come across online.

All of the myLotters I’ve met will attest to the fact that I quote song lyrics constantly. The main difference between my reality and my online is that I have a short battery life for interacting with others. When I met JJ it was perfect because he’s pretty much identical! “How are you, great to see you, talk music, that’s enough.”

I think I am almost the same in person, but I am more shy in person than I am online.

tt's hard for me to say. I've had friends say I' was very quiet when they first met me and they were surprised how funny and quick I was once I knew them better. But that's in person. Online I think I'm much the same.
