I looked like I had lip filler.

Friday night, I noticed my upper lip looked odd. It almost looked swollen. But yesterday morning, I looked like I had had lip filler gone wrong. It seems to slowly be going back to normal, but I sent a picture to my sister and she asked if I had been bitten by anything (I hadn’t).
Have you ever had something odd happen to your face you briefly got pretty concerned?

My lips will swell if I accidently eat something I am allergic to...like a dish with unknown hot peppers! It's not fun. One bite is all it takes! Have you eaten something you never had before?

I am super paranoid that I will accidently eat a hot pepper...A few times I have, in restaurants in the past, because they claimed they didn't use them unless you ordered them--but yet they did. Nothing like going out to eat and landing in the ER with a tube stuck down your throat because your throat swelled shut..I love Mexican food, but I am very, very careful. If it happens again, or if your lips either start tingling or getting numb, go to the ER, as soon as possible!

@MarieCoyle Yes. Definitely glad you told her as well. It worries me. I wish she knew what caused it.

It could have been a bite from something (mosquito, spider) and you didn't even realize it. Hope it's all better now

When my daughter was 14 or 15 she was stung by a red wasp just above her lip. Her lip turned completely up. I gave her diphenhydramine but her lip stayed swollen for close to a week. She refused to go anyplace because it was so swollen. She wouldn't even go to school and I didnn't make her.

I wish you knew what caused it. Is it possible your cleaners used a product you are sensitive to? In the first aid classes I have had over the years we have been told to be especially cautious of swelling around the face and lips because the causes may also affect your breathing, your throat. If this has never happened before, and it happens again it could be much worse.

Oh yes. The first time I ever had guacamole I had a fattened lip. Worse, I was on leave in Washington DC so I had to deal with it until I could get back to the base!
Hope you're better soon.
