Happy Wednesday Everyone! yesterdays sun is gone

and we have rain again today. We need the rain so thankfully it's only raining lightly and no storms in the forecast. Tomorrow looks better with sun and warm temperatures. I finally decided to get a ring doorbell. Almost everyone in my community has one but I just didn't feel it was necessary, But, the other night around 10pm someone opened my storm door, banged on the inside door, rang the doorbell numerous times and ran away. My daughter and I were engrossed in a tv show and it scared us half to death. I'm sure it was kids playing a prank. The old ring and run but both of us were afraid to open the door. The fact that they opened the storm door (which is now locked) made us feel less than safe. So, I ordered a ring doorbell from Amazon and my son will come and install it. Until the other night I've never felt uneasy living here. Do you have a ring doorbell?

That would have really scared me also. Hopefully it was just kids being kids. I am sure that your daughter was a big source of support. We do not have a ring doorbell, but they are not a bad idea.

I really didn't think I would be one to get a ring doorbell but guess I'll be joining the millions who have them i wonder if a ring doorbell would deter kids from pulling pranks like this or if it wouldn't even phase them.

After I had those packages stolen awhile back, my dad bought me one. I’ve just not had it installed yet. That would have scared me too!

You probably should have it installed considering that your packages were stolen. From what I hear it's not hard to do. But m glad my son can come and do it for me.

No, but I have thought of getting one. I probably will one of these days because my son can install it. After an experience like you had I would definitely get one. That is scary. I do not like when people show up unannounced t the door. It is usually somebody wanting to do work or a religious group. Not really interested in either one.

I almost feel forced to get one now. It's rare that someone will ring the bell and we discourage solicitors in our community. I've always felt safe and often have my sliding door open to get fresh air in the house.But now I'll keep the storm door locked just for my own peace of mind.
