So, anyway I have an appointment today in Charlottesville. It is near the hospital and I hate the parking garage affiliated with it. It is way too busy and just horrible and dark in there. Street parking is nonexistent Plus it is a really hilly to the complex.from the garage..horrible in the summer..although I wisely made a morning appointment this time. I am going to use the valet parking though so I don't have to deal with that garage nightmare. It will be worth the 7 bucks. I am going to call them though in a few to see if I might be able to get my parking validated. What are you up to today?

I would definitely pay $7 for valet parking. That parking garage sounds like a nightmare. It would be nice if they validated your parking. Nothing much happening here today. I'm certainly not complaining that it's a quiet week so far.

I’m at the VA hospital for some fun. I’ve had my dental exam (I have to have a tooth rebuilt), and I’m waiting for my cleaning. Dermatologist in the afternoon.

That sounds like a wise decision, I dislike most parking garages. I worked part of the day, I was going to make some pumpkin bread after work, but I am sitting down now, so that might not happen.

A lot of those things seem good in theory but by the time it rolls around to doing it, you are either tired or not in the mood. At least that is how I roll!

@snowy22315 As the day progressed, I thought surely, with finishing work at 3pm I will have time/energy to bake this, but then my husband facetimed me with the babies, and then I had to contact the insurance company for my medical benefits, and then and then.........

Now, I found out I have something that could potentially be dangerous...however luckily there is not a big chance of having it turn dangerous.

@valherma00 Thanks, but it isn't a disease at this point, but it has the potential to turn into a syndrome..which in turn could result in a potentially serious allergy.

Well, I needed to go to the post office today, but the package was too heavy for me to lift. So my dad came over to grab it for me and mail it. Other than that, I’m just trying ny best to do tons of surveys to earn money or gift cards.

@snowy22315 He was visiting a nursing home near me today, so I was five miles away from that. But he lives just 15 miles away. I see him about every ten days, but I usually go there. I’m not sure why you think he lives far away from me.

It cost more than I was told it was going to and I also was told you could use a card..so I had to go to an expensive ATM to get cash.

That sounds like a good plan paying for valet is definitely worth it if it saves you from that stressful garage situation, especially with the heat and hills. Hopefully they can validate the parking for you too.

No, I would have gone to the garage if I had to do it over again. It wasn't hot either.

I was not thrilled they wouldn't take a card and I had to use their outrageously priced ATM. The fee was extremely high.

I often have to deal with the parking at the hospital. A tall parking garage, it's well-lit but a person has to be very careful--people go through way too fast on their way out. They do offer valet parking; however the valet parkers are often so busy you have to wait and wait most of the time. I have a handicapped placard, so that does help sometimes in procuring a good spot in the tower. But the stupidest thing they did was what they called an upgrade; they removed the exit booths they used that had an attendant inside to check you out. You used either a card or cash. Now, they did away with the booths altogether, and they no longer accept cash. It's maddening, strangers come from out of town and don't know this, then the lines get held up.

Gee you would think they could at least put a sign up. I truly feel the parking garage there is dangerous. They have two garages but I bet they are both like that.

@snowy22315 It's really a mess when someone has a fender bender in the parking garage. I was trying to get down to the exit one time last fall, and a car had hit another car--and then there were two police cars, another one showed up to direct traffic inside the garage, etc. A hospital person came out and opened the exit gates so that no one had to pay, and the people could get out of the garage without stopping. What a mess.

@MarieCoyle Last time I was in that stupid garage it took me 15 minutes to pull out. Every time I'd start to do it somebody would come whipping around the bend.
