Don't bang your head

I wrote that we’ve been rearranging our garage now that we only have one car. We put up a high shelf about a week ago. Since then, we’ve put up four more, two of which are below the higher one. You can see both in the photo.
The corner of the lower one is about face-height. It’s more or less out of the way but I was worried that sooner or later, someone would crack their head on it. We’ve now put a tennis ball over the corner and fastened it with a screw. I feel it’s much safer now.

I walk into low shelves and open cabinet doors all the time. Pretty doesn't think about me being almost a foot taller than her when she leaves cabinet doors open. The shelves and doors are above her head but right at my face level.

@JudyEv I've started looking and closing cabinet doors as soon as I walk into the kitchen or garage. I don't understand why she leaves drawers and cabinets open.

@DaddyEvil I try to close doors etc. I'd find it hard not to comment if Vince left doors open or didn't put things away. He does often leave things lying around but he's not too bad and none of it is likely to cause an accident.

Great idea! I've considered getting some pool noodles and putting them on places I'm prone to banging my hand or elbow. In fact, I have one in my garage hanging from a support beam to prevent the tailgate from hitting the beam. I don't need it now that I have an automatic tailgate, but I recommend it for people who have a tailgate that isn't automatic!!

Another solution I had was to hang a golf ball that would hit the windscreen when we were far enough into the garage.

I was a bit frantic about it really. It was a bit out of the way but I was quite worried so I was very pleased when I came up with this.

It sounds like the garage reorganization is really coming together too. Extra shelving makes such a difference, especially when going from two cars to one and suddenly having usable space to work with.
