Police officer and strangers assist geese to get off of a highway

Thanks to the teamwork of Aberdeen Maryland Police Officer Buettner and several strangers who guided a flock of geese who were walking on Interstate 95 near the Maryland Route 24 interchange from traffic to safety on Tuesday morning.
The geese are safe and sound thanks to the cooperation of the Aberdeen Police and the strangers who cooperated to save the lives of the geese who could have been hurt by drivers who were on the interstate.

Perhaps, the geese were out for a gander, but, they should be more careful as to where they wander, and it was good they were saved from their meandering.

We have so many geese here. I wish they wouldn't cross highways and busy city streets, but they do. I hate seeing that they got hit by a vehicle, but I can understand how it happens when I car is traveling on a highway/interstate and suddenly a goose is right in front of them, they cannot stop. Our University of Illinois vet medical center is constantly helping ones who are hurt, etc. It's a never-ending task. That's good that those were saved.
