New Phones...

@LadyDuck I was always taught if it is not broken, don't fix it. Very rarely do people wait until their phone is broken to replace. And I am no different, although I did wear much of the touch screen out on 1 phone. Maybe that is why I dislike getting new phones.

New phones are pretty easy to figure out. My old phone was over six years old when we bought my new phone. Pretty always took my old phones to use. This is the first time she's ever gotten a new one.

@allen0187 She always wanted my old phones since I only used them for two years. My last phone was a Moto E Power and the phone before that was a Moto, too. I LIKE Motorola phones.

We bought both our phones on sale. Mine cost $179, from around $300, and hers cost around $200, on sale from $500.

@DaddyEvil - I did not even check how much the Samsung proposed by my bank is. I do not want to transfer all the photos and the apps to a new phone. Mine is working so well.

@LadyDuck My old phone was giving problems when we bought my new one. I think that's the reason it didn't transfer all my phone numbers over. Pretty always wanted my older phones but my last one wasn't worth keeping.

I love Motorola phones. That's been my go-to brand for years now. The new phone is very similar to my last phone since they were both Motorola Powers. (I LOVE the huge battery and can make calls. send texts and read ebooks on my phone for six or seven days before needing to recharge it. ) Pretty always got my old phones but she doesn't use a phone as a phone. She just wants them to play games on and earn money.

@DaddyEvil Wow that is a long battery life! If I don't use mine much, I may get mine to last four days. Talking on them is rare. I may talk once a week. My friends and I do more text, email and messenger. I use messenger on my lap top. My phone has the usual apps like banking, ibotta, hog receipt and other "stuff." I prefer doing surveys on my lap top to earn.

@DaddyEvil That is a great idea to find out which apps to delete. I have deleted several but there are some I wonder if will cause issues if I delete. I keep my apps signed out and turned off . No location services and all that. If I have to buy my own phone again in the future, I may go back to a Galaxy.

I've owned Samsung phones before but prefer the Moto brand now. I LOVED my last one and this new one because they have the largest batteries you can put in a phone. My phone charge lasts six or seven days using it to make calls, send texts and read my ebooks.

@DaddyEvil it's not common here.

Pretty has had the same boyfriend for six or seven years. He doesn't live close to us, being in the state of Georgia. His mom lives with him. (Pretty "dates" him by watching the same movie on her desktop while he's watching the movie on his laptop and talking to each other over the phone. ) Several years ago, while I was still working, he came out here for a few days. He stayed in a local hotel so I never met him. They did stuff during the daytime while I was at work. This was the first time I lost phone numbers. Only local numbers transferred, and I lost all the long distance ones I'd had. That's why I aske myLot friends to contact me again so I could get their numbers back into my phone.

I'm glad you got a new phone... One of the things I check is that a new-to-me phone can do is let me read my ebooks on it or I don't want it.

@JESSY3236 I have a Kindle but almost never wake it up. I prefer reading on my phone. It fits my hands better than my Kindle.

@DaddyEvil lol I use my kindle for ebooks and my phone for audiobooks.

Pretty never uses headphones with her music. She just closes her bedroom door so I don't have to hear it, too.

I agree. Now I have all my contacts saved on an old phone, just in case I lose some again.

Yes, she is. It's the first new phone she's ever gotten.

We're both normally awake all night and sleep during the daytime. We text each other all night long.

True. I need to call several of my friends and let them know I'm still alive.

I'm just glad we got those numbers back again. They're from friends all over the world. I think both phones are registered to my Gmail account.
