Do You Look Your Age.

I was not here yesterday. My daughter and I bought some essentials she needed for school. We commuted yesterday and what is funny in the train station, while waiting for the train, they separate pregnant women, seniors and PWD in one coach. The lady guard asked the women in front of us to go to the coach for seniors. They told the guard they are not yet seniors and they are just 49 years old.
I actually did not see much of their faces, but I noticed one of them had streaks of white hair or maybe more. They are also wearing baggy or loose clothing. I asked myself why the lady guard thought of them as seniors. Is it the white hair? Do they really look like seniors? Is it the clothing?
I somehow wonder if I look my age.

I think it's the white hair that the guard assumed they are seniors.
I often mistaken as students in a bus or when I rode a tricycle.
Maybe it's my look and how I present myself.
Who wouldn't mistaken if I just wear plain white shirt and jeans then sneakers plus a small backpack when I go to work.

for me age is just a number. My colleagues was a bit shocked when i told them that i was 31 years old. They thought Im still younger they guess my age and they told me im 23 years old and i laughed so hard, they even asked for my ID to confirm my age hahahahah

@rakski My wife has white hairs too and like you she colors her hairas well that is why she looks younger her age. She has good complexion too that is why there are only a few wrinkles seen in her face. I on the other hand feels lazy coloring my hair anymore. Even when I was working I let my white hair look as it is. I am just blessed with thick hair despite they have turned white already. Hair loss is not a problem with me.

I am often surprised at peoples hang up about age. I am useless at guessing peoples age. I know many elderly people have no fear of telling you their ages. It is not something we usually talk about.

People normally guess me much younger than I actually am. I don't mind that and will tell them I'm 62 when they guess I'm in my 50s.

Sometimes I don't know if that's a blessing in disguise coz I think that would be nice to get a seat, lol!
I have a friend who told me to meet her at the MRT station, so I went and when I got there she's a bit annoyed, I asked her why, and she told me one of the passengers gave her a seat because she looked like a pregnant woman. Lol! But she's not fat, and she's single. I think the clothes make her look like a preggy woman. Lol!

I don't know anymore... I know until I was in my 50s that people still thought I was in my 30s but since I haven't been doing as well for several years, what age people would see me as now.
I do have a white streak in the middle of my hair and, if I let my beard and mustache grow, they are pure white. Most of my hair is still dark red(auburn).
When you come over next time, you'll have to tell me how old I look.

@rakski My avatar was made from a real photo of me in 2020, I think. It was during the pandemic. Pretty took a photo of me in a doctor's waiting room and made the avatar. If you look closely, you can see I'm wearing a mask that I just pulled down for the photo.

I don't look 65
At least not how 65 year old men looked when my grandfather was 65.
Why do they separate people whilst waiting for the train.
And what is PWD

@Ineeddentures it is their option, they are just being given prioritization

What if the PWD doesn't want special treatment
Or a pregnant woman wants her husband to sit with her

i think the white hair is the key but some turn gray earlier or don't want to dye their hair. i wonder the same about you
. i was told i look younger but older people told me. people of my age or younger, i think they didn't or i forgot over the years. i don't put strong make-up, maybe that's why. i think you look younger too
