Do you eat at least one banana every day
A Banana a day keeps the doctor away
It's true
How do you eat your bananas
I like taking two crusty fresh pieces of white farmhouse loaf
Spreading both pieces with thick butter
And then mashing the banana down on top of the butter
Yum
So let's hear all your banana ha it's here please
Skin on or skin off, you choose

@Ineeddentures literally the only fruit I like is an apple.
Veggies - only potato lol
But I hate the texture and taste of bananas lol. Sorry that it didn't work out with this one

I'm a banana fan, also! I usually just peel and eat them fresh as a snack, but if they have gotten too ripe, I make a sort of rice pudding with them by microwaving a cup of minute rice and mashing them in with some raisins. Sprinkle with cinnamon, and it's quite a treat.

@Ineeddentures it's great, and so naturally sweet, you don't even need to add sugar!

We have been so busy expanding our curry range that we haven't baked anything at all recently
I saw a curry recipe with banana listed as an ingredient
I must try it soon

@ineeddentures We had bananas growing in the garden when I was growing up. They were mashed with peanuts for breakfast. Now I just cut up the skins when my daughter has one and dig them into the soil around my plants. Great fertilizer.

Ah
I must stop just throwing the skins out.
I could throw them into the Raspberry patch and they would add nutrients to the soil
Mashed with peanuts
I must try that.
I like peanuts and ainlike bananas so why not
Where did you grow up?

You would need to buy big bunches of bananas George.
There are only 2 of us here so we always have a few bananas each and when they are finished we go to the store and buy more

I"m not supposed to eat bananas anymore because of the potassium. The kidney disease diet requires low potassium. I do eat the bananas that Meals on Wheels provides; but I shouldn't.

@Ineeddentures Unfortunately they are both are loaded with white sugar. I'm cutting down on my sugar intake. So, using banana as a natural sweetener is a great idea to add on my bread.

Yes I love bananas. If imports were cut off for some reason bananas are the thing I would miss most.
I like them on their own, or in banana and peanut butter sandwiches, or sliced with custard (cold) or ice cream, or in a fruit salad especially with mango and pineapple, or with yogurt and honey, or sliced and pan fried and served with fried eggs, or made into fritters, or into a sort of curry-type dish with pork and peanuts, or in banoffi pie, or banana bread, or milkshakes, or smoothies...
I had to cut down, at one point I was eating three a day and found I had low blood pressure, and since I reduced the banana intake to about one a day it's been normal again.

@Ineeddentures Yes, he butters his bread and, if he has jam and cream, he has butter, jam AND cream. We were never allowed that on the farm. It was butter and jam or jam and cream but not all three. Incidentally, I never have butter and jam, just jam.

Yes, I eat bananas but I prefer the bananas (plantain) from the Philippines, not the bananas that are sold here in Germany. Hubby eats bananas often times here but I wait until the bananas are overripe so I could bake banana bread or cake. Just like today. I just got out the banana cake from the oven and it smells so good.
