@Ineeddentures I love to eat it with the carrots and onions and celery it boiled with. Usually I just warm it up in the liquid it cooked in but today I think I will fry the tongue in the skillet and have it with capellini pasta.

That sounds ok Lena
After you boil it, caramelised some onion in a pan and sear the tongue after you season with salt and pepper
Very quickly.

@Ineeddentures It was Independence Day yesterday and there were some festivities. There was a marathon and a part of the route was in front of where I live.
A couple of things and events are happening since it is the weekend. Not sure if I'm going but there are errands that needs to be done so we'll see.

@ineeddentures I cooked duck for dinner. I love duck, nice and pink with the skin well rendered down and crispy, and with it an orange sauce. I think I might feel another trip to France coming on.

The rendering of the skin is the key there
And keeping it nice and pink
I quite like Duck but when I have had it when eating out it's been underwhelming
I'm sure I would really enjoy eating your cuisine

You weren't in France that long of I remember correctly
Mind you, if I was in America I would most likely have Biscuits and Gravy 6 times
Maybe not

@Ineeddentures Oh it was well worth what we spent
& lunch was awesome we ate 2 plates full for 25$ the
whole meal at a buffet place where you eat as much
as you want, + I sneak a quart- sandwich bag of shrimp
in my purse for later taking my evening meds.

The Onion rings were bland
to be fair.
Wouldn't buy them again
It was just a quick dinner so I thought the onion rings would do the job
Sandwiches is always good
Cucumber I do like but it seems to taste different than it did before

@Ineeddentures - Yes, they have a ring pull, but I often turn and use the can opener, some cans are so hard to open that I prefer to use my can opener.
