My two eldest are pretty much done school for this year. My eldest has one exam left and that's it.
While my youngest is finishing grade 5. This is his last full week of school. Then next week he goes Monday and then Tuesday morning and is done.
Not too much longer for him until he's also officially on summer break. I'm sure he's looking forward to it, just like my other two are happy about it.
I can't say as I blame them. We all need a break every once in a while.

I hope you all have a good summer break. I KNOW I looked forward to my own summers when I was in school and Pretty enjoyed hers when she was out for the summer. I always made sure there were plenty of things we both loved to do during the summer break. She had friends over most of the time and we had a pool for years.

@dodo19 We always tried different amusement parks that are within driving distance of us. Our favorite is Silver Dollar City, also just South of us here. It has all kinds of rides as well as country cooking and music shows.

@DaddyEvil It's always good to try different things. I'll have to take a look at what's around here for us to do and try.

Have you figured out what they'll do for the summer? Are there any camps they can go to?

Hope you and the family enjoy the summer

Having them out of school for the summer won't be too much of a break for mom..but at least you don't have to get school clothes ready everyday

Wow, the kids are still in school? Here in Florida, our children end the school year at the end of May or beginning of June.

@moffittjc Yeah that does makes sense. Weather probably does have something to do with it. The way our system works/set up probably factors in as well.

@dodo19 It makes sense for schools in your geographical climate area to stay in session later in the summer months. In the south where I live our schools can start later and finish earlier because we don't ever have to worry about winter weather issues.

I used to be so excited for school to end when I was a kid, but I would also get excited to go back in the fall. I guess we all crave variety! Do you have any vacation plans for the summer?

Oh my goodness, I can't believe how old your children have gotten. Have you noticed how fast other people's children age? I know I have not been around much in 5 years but oh well anyway enjoy the summer/
