That's What I Get For Showing Off

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago when I showed side-by-side photos of me at the beginning of the year and now with a 23 pound weight loss? Well, I shouldn't have been so vain. I'm not making excuses but between MIL drama, new medication, and making the mistake of eating Hershey One Protein bars again (too many of them) I have gained 1.3 pounds. Now I know you're thinking, "that's no big deal" but I've been stuck at this weight for a month now due to my own doing. So today I'm re-motivated to kick the Hershey habit and work out harder at the gym. That's what I get for showing off. Smacked me in the face.

That could just be the fluctuation of normal water weight. Good luck though, if that is what you want.

Play the thumpawump song all day and night. "I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna break me down..."

Pretty much everyone fluctuates in weight within a few pounds. And it’s not even two pounds. Cut yourself a break. As for the protein bars, I’ve tried one of those Hershey ones. A friend bought some and gave me one to try. Honestly I can see why you like them, it’s just basically a candy bar with some healthy stuff. Maybe little by little you can find some different things to eat. You’ll figure it out!

You know what 1.3 lbs could be fluid retention because of heat or any amount of reasons What ever it is, speeding up your metabolism is the way to go, not cutting out the odd Hershey bar Sometimes speeding up a metabolism means you should eat more, not less

Don't beat yourself up. You've made progress and that slip up is what it is. It's impossible to be 100% every single minute but I admire your determination to get back in the groove and not throw it all away.

You didn't get that by showing off. It happens. I'm glad you got the motivation to shed the extra pound
