Rainy Monday

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a rainy day here today and we can certainly use the rain. We have more brown grass than green these days and it's sad not seeing our usual lush green lawns.
I didn't have much time to spend here the past few days with being busy with our 3 day weekend. Why is it that looking forward a 3 day weekend seems like it's going to be long and enjoyable and then looking back it was gone in the blink of an eye.
With yesterday being Fathers Day we went to my oldest daughters for a barbecue and the weather was so nice that we actually spent the whole afternoon in the yard. She has a nice portico over the patio so we had plenty of shade. It was really nice to enjoy the day out.
Today life is back to normal. I'm enjoying my coffee and trying to put my day in order of what needs to be done and what can wait.
Probably the biggest decision is what to make for dinner.
Mush (our pup) is pretty much back to her "old" self after her surgery and has to get her stitches out on the 29th. So far she doesn't seem to be bothered by them and we were worried that she would be and that it would be a problem.

Hope you have some way to stay cool in the heat . I can't complain about the heat when it doesn't get nearly as hot here as there.

But you get the humidity we usually don't thank heavens @Marilynda1225 I have a spot where I can sit under the trees I've grown, it's cooler out there than in here.

I am happy that you and your family enjoyed a nice Sunday together yesterday.
Father's day is always a little melancholy for me because it was the last full day that my Dad was at home the year that he passed, the next day he was admitted to the hospital where he remained until his passing. But I drew on my sweet memories yesterday, the ones that made me feel happy to spend time with him.
It is great that Mush is back to her usual self.
Supper tonight is breaded shrimp and tater tots, it doesn't get any easier, and on a Monday I need easy.

So pleased that Mush is recovering well….i have been thinking about her. We do worry so about our fur babies dont we.
I’m waiting for our lifestyle to change enough so that I can have another dog.

It stormed here most of the night and a good part of the morning. I know thunder right over the house made me jump a couple of times, it was so loud. It's supposed to keep storming all week. Good thing we don't have anywhere we need to be.
I'm glad Mush is doing okay and hope you're enjoying your day.

i hope she'll make it until the 29th. i have my dentist appointment on june 30 and i was scheduled on june 8 so i am getitng nervous a bit. enjoy your coffee! it's raining here right now. this heatwave is tough
