Mornings have never really been my thing. Unfortunately, most of the rest of the world doesn't agree with me on that, so I have to go with the majority.
I've been rather unplugged and not really communicating for a day or two. Too much going on, and priorities, took over. By the time we got home Thursday evening, I was definitely on what some term as ''auto-pilot.'' I did what I had to do, got the son settled, and we both went to bed early. Great, right? Trouble with that was, I didn't stay asleep. Neither did he. Allergy issues and a headache drove me to the medicine cabinet. That helped, so I will try to rest some more soon, it's still dark-ish outside.
I am hopeful for a quiet and uneventful weekend. Boring, even.
Home is our happy place, our sanctuary. our place to rest and regroup. It feels safe and secure, a true comfort zone. .It's definitely NOT fancy, and it never will be. We do enjoy new places and new things. But when we are tired and stressed, sometimes there really is no place like home, is there?

I do enjoy getting out and about sometimes...but not daily and not constantly. Lately, I feel like I spend more time in the car or in waiting rooms than ever. But it can't be helped, and we do keep the goal of wellness for the son top priority. But oh, home feels good!

So far, it's fairly quiet. Rain and a few thunderstorms all day long, it's dark and dreary--a great day to not go anywhere! Thank you, Julia.

It is nice to come home to sanctuary after a day in the cold, cruel world. Enjoy! It looks like ours is going to be stormy, at least part of the time.

Ours is dark and dreary as well, stormy and rainy. But no tornadoes today, so that's wonderful!

Arn't you all supposed to be telling me I am supposed to go out and be social. I knew it, like my mom, you need me to go and be social. I am teaching you boy, you sure, looks like you hiding like I want to do, Be brave and fix our problems while you out there.

I do enjoy having friends and being social. But I don't want to have to go out somewhere every single day. I feel we all need those ''at home'' days to rest and regroup at times.
If you can figure out how to fix the world's problems, for heaven's sake, get busy!
