The Storm

My grandson came in my room lastnight about 9p. He said: "Did you hear that?" I came away from what I was reading and listened. THUNDER! My eyes crossed. (If you know me at all you know I love, love love thunder storms) I Turned and watched out the window. Lightning over there and then over there. Rain came down in torrents for 15-20 minutes. Thunder and lightning continued for another half an hour or so. I heard a good thunder clap just over head at one point. I could still hear thunder as it moved out of the area an hour or so later. We haven't had such a long storm in a long time. Hearing the water running in the street and dropping back from the trees was so soothing. Life is good. Depression leaving my body. Ahhhh.
I felt like a little kid. It's so very invigorating.

Once a storm is forecasted by the weather bureau we are stressed and afraid for we had trauma of a devastating suoer typhoon which hit our place 3 years ago and another one last year. Many houses, properties, crops, animals and human lives were destroyed and taken such disastrous natural calamities.

Oh, yes indeed. And the sound of the rain on the roof is relaxing to me as well.

I love thunder & lightning storms too. I have seen some amazing storms in the USA.

I am too.
I never have been. I respect them for I know how powerful they can be. But they invigorate me. I love the energy.

Storms can be enjoyable, if you have a good roof. Which we do. Sometimes it feels as if the wind will blow the doors off, though. Love some active weather.
