Is it noisy where you are?

I am a little bit east of center in a tiny town in Kansas. We do have a fireworks stand, profits go to city improvements. It is run by volunteers. The first night they were sold, someone let off one long string of poppers. Since then it has been maybe one boom per night. Tonight it has been isolated large booms every few minutes for hours. If the local dogs are disturbed, they are not voicing it. Bruno wants out, and I said "no". When I go lay down in a minute the fireworks will not bother me at all. It is not very noisy here.

Last night, was the first night we had a lot of illegal fireworks go off around here, and it was the first time since I adopted her that Sadie seemed to mind the noise. She barked quite a bit when she got agitated.

For me and my human hearing it has been quiet today. For Rufus and his canine hearing? He has been nervous and pacing and watching all day. This evening somebody let off a huge boom. I gave Rufus his first anti-anxiety pill tonight. Tomorrow I will get more serious and give him both an anti-anxiety pill and a sedative. IF it gets worse tonight he will get a sedatve. His heart just races.

There are several fireworks stands scattered around the city. For the last week there have been strings of big booms that shook the house. Tonight, believe it or not, it has been fairly quiet with just a few bottle rockets going off. Those big booms startled me several times... They seem to wait those for midnight.

Just now
It doesn't sound too bad if it's only an occasional boom. Hopefully it stays that way tonight

Unbelievably noisy. It’s been noisy for several weeks. It’s been noisy all day and I am not counting on a quiet night tonight or tomorrow night. Naps may be needed tomorrow!
