Are you already celebrating? I've been hearing the fireworks for the past several nights. How's your weather? We've been in a sauna here with the heat index rising to 107. We're finally cooling off. Today our high will be 78 and our heat index will be tolerable. With the heat we've had lots of rain. We've had areas of flooding in the past week. I understand that the weather we're having is just as severe across Europe and the Middle East. What about those of you in the southern hemisphere - How is your weather? Is it unusual? Yes, the weather is the topic of everyone's conversation here. If you're experiencing much the same, I'm sure it's also the topic where you live. As for me - I hate the A/C. I've been running it almost non-stop. I finally found a place on the thermostat that keeps me happy and doesn't feel like I'm in a freezer. I'm writing. Which is why you haven't seen me as often as before. I don't know when I will be here every day. I thought I would the last time I checked in. You know that didn't happen. My current book is Patriot Dreams - it's a time travel story taking place during the Revolutionary War and the birth of our country. Today, I'll be writing the final battle and victory of the Revolutionary War. I can tell you that when I finish this book I will know more about the Revolutionary War than I ever learned in school.
