I'm home alone !

After a lovely, longer than expected, weekend with The Mister he has had to go home. He has to travel to Scotland in the morning and that is going to mean a 4am get up and a 6 hour drive ....then he has to do a day's work !
I know he will be shattered.
We did our shopping earlier and I have made his sandwiches.
He left almost two hours ago so he should be home any time now .....he will phone when he gets back.
So I have a week here at the caravan by myself ....I have books to read, knitting to be done, puzzle books and recipes to sort for when I go home.
Also, the beach is just five minutes walk away
Yes , I'm home alone .....but I think I will be okay ....

Oh, I thought your hubby might have finally realized he'd gotten the short end of the stick so he left you... Nothing quite so dramatic, huh? 
You could invite all your myLot buddies over for a swim... I'm sure we'd all appreciate that. 
You could always read a few Sir Terry Pratchett novels if there's a library close at hand. I love his novels and was very sorry when he passed away.

I don't swim but I'm happy to sit on the beach whilst everyone else swims ....you are all welcome.
I've not read any of Terry Pratchett's books ....I don't think that they are my sort of thing.
I do have books if I want to read...

That would be wonderful--a week to do whatever you want to do. Sleep in, go to the beach, books...sounds like a special time for you.

I do miss our Sunday roasts...last week Mom had salmon instead of meat ....she wouldn't use a joint of meat by herself even if it was a small one.
Not sure what she had today ...I will ask her later...
I'm going back next Sunday but not in time for a roast dinner. We may go for a carvery here before we leave.
A roast dinner is my favourite meal x

It sounds like you made the most of your time together, even if it was hard to say goodbye. That's a very early start for him tomorrow, especially with such a long drive before a full day's work. I hope he gets home safely and manages to get some rest before the alarm goes off again.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX. He got home safely and watched some of the World Cup final. Got all his chores done and had a good night's sleep. He is used to early mornings, although he never wants to get up, he always does. He has arrived at work safely this morning.

The Mister is away Monday to Friday so except when I stay with Mom I am on my own.
I'm used to being on my own at the caravan too
...when I was working I had the school summer holidays so I was at the caravan for the whole six weeks ...mainly on my own.
