@DaddyEvil Do you know how long you will be there? And of course, there is always the "I don't know factor" due to tests and what is happening. I hope it all goes well for you.

@kareng I go in the hospital on Monday and am supposed to stay for 5 days. I don't know if that includes the time for the brain surgery or not. As far as I've been told, that's just the amount of time for them to siphon off some spinal fluid and see if that helps. If I have to have a shunt installed in my skull, then it may take longer. The neurologist is supposed to start a trial lumbar drain that lasts three to five days. If my walking (no stutter stepping, nor falling and no dizziness and I stop forgetting things) then they'll proceed with the shunt and tubing to drain the fluid into my abdomen so the fluid is reabsorbed naturally. I'll take my phone and charger to the hospital with me so I can keep in contact with some friends here on myLot while I'm in the hospital and I've downloaded 20 new ebooks to read, as long as I can still see.

Forgetting basic facts made me feel stupid, honestly. The turkey tetrazzini turned out delicious, thanks. I don't make it very often, so it was a nice treat!

@DaddyEvil - This is very possible, I am sure you will feel better after the treatment next week.

I think it's the build-up of fluid in my head that is causing problems. I'm glad the doctor will do something about that this next week.

@DaddyEvil I hope that she can be with you then when you cook. I never enjoyed cooking, but developed an enjoyment of it out of necessity.

@Juliaacv She's usually in her bedroom while I'm cooking and can't hear me calling from the kitchen. I LIKE to cook but do wish I didn't have to do it every day. When I still worked, we'd go out to eat once a week or so. Now that she's the one paying bills, she doesn't want to "waste" money going out to eat when I can cook at home.

She won't do that. She hates to cook.

Me, too! I always forget things that happen before I see the doctor again.

@TheHorse I'm not planning to take my laptop and that's the only way I connect on myLot. A few people have offered me their phone numbers so I can text them while I'm away from the house. They could let you know what's happening, if they want to do that. I've given you my phone number years ago.
