Do you still have a landline?

I haven’t had a landline phone in about ten years. I hung on to it for a long time because it was just $2, but eventually even that seemed silly. I mean, my parents even got rid of their landline before I did. Do you still have a landline? If not, when did you get rid of it?

I think the strangest change is that I used to know so many phone numbers by heart. Now, if my mobile disappeared, I’m not sure I could call half the people I know without looking their number up first

No, we gave up our landline when we moved to this city. It was considered long distance (remember that) from where we used to live, and since we couldn't port our original telephone number we've had our entire marriage, we decided not to keep a landline. We both have cellphones and those that need to get in touch with us, can on those, otherwise people always seem to find a way to reach out, it has never been an issue.

I think I can plug a landline phone in the router. I do not really need a landline and I fear to create a problem, so I am not trying.

I haven't had a landline in years. I can't remember the last time we had one. Maybe when my kids were little, but yeah ...

We still do because when we had our internet installed, a landline is a must. It's never used though unless to call the hotline to complain about our internet connection.

Oh, heck no. I think I got rid of it 10-12 years ago. Funny thing, though, I still use my landline number for a couple of store discount accounts.

It's been at least 20 years since we had one. They even quit taking care of the lines out here because many people gave them up

I'm still living in the land of dinosaurs, and I do still have a landline. Every month I say I'm going to cancel it but I don't.

Where I lived for a time before I moved to this city, was very rural and cell service was extremely bad in my spot there at that time. I had to have a landline. But I ditched it as soon as I moved and I don’t miss it at all. So like 13 years ago now.
