Excellent Auction Day

I got 4 of these big boxes of strawberries for 24 dollars. There is 8 quarts in each one. I have 12 of them cleaned with some in the freezer and took a couple to euchre tonight. I will get the rest cleaned and refrigerated tonight. Tomorrow after we are finished in town I will make some strawberry jam and put some more in the freezer. To me this was a 3fer buy. I have the strawberries, the nice plastic containers they came in and the chickens love the tops.
I also got 2 more bags of cookies, another 10 pound bag of potatoes and a dozen ears of corn. Everything was just 32.50. This weekend I will be prepping more potatoes for the freezer. And I might pickle part of the corn.
Euchre was fun. Each team won 2 games. That's always nice. We finally had a sunny day that didn't get too hot.

Wow! That sure helps with your grocery bill too!
My day was total hay wire! I got nothing done because of it and behind in everything but dishes. They are all caught up and put up. Laundry is all put up also that I washed the day before yesterday. Now I can start all over on laundry again. Ha!
