The internet says that this CAN happen with Bob's new short term medicine, but not to worry about it. In addition to being thirsty, he just cannot seem to get enough to eat.
That is a change of pace from two or three weeks ago when he would eat maybe two tablespoons of food all day.
For breakfast Bob had a banana, protein drink, juice, and half a can of corned beef hash, then went back to bed.
He got up from his nap, finished an individual bag of chips, and a drink. I warmed up left over lasagna from the freezer. He had a big bowl of cantaloupe, a drink, and a biscuit with butter and molasses. He is back in bed. It is too hot to do much else.
At least twice since starting this medicine he has roamed the house at night, demanding food to eat. Makes for a short night but I am glad he has an appetite.
He can have ice cream when he gets up again.

Just now
I'm glad he seems to be feeling better and is eating better right now. I hope you're doing okay, too.
I'm back from the hospital and ate better while I was there than I have been at home. The gave me back/sausages and eggs every morning for breakfast, which I enjoyed. They also served half a cup of fruit for breakfast, too. I ate whatever meat they were serving along with the veggies they made but skipped the ice cream and fruit cups at the other meals. The kept giving me milk and coffee or tea at the other meals, none of which I will eat/drink. I just drank water all day and night while I was there.
I was teasing the nurses and the aides up there. One guy giggled the whole time I talked with him. He was an aide who was supposed to take my temp every two hours. He had a lot of trouble with the thermometer and I'd tease him about getting my temp correct.

Wow, that is such a change from the posts where you had to coax him to eat even small amounts. How long will he be on this new medicine?
