MRI Handled Like a Pro

I had my liver MRI today and was very happy I survived it without feeling like I am drowning. Usually when I do the MRI I have trouble with holding my breath. I think my lungs are not as fit as I’d want it to be.
I find that when I count how long I am holding my breath it distracts me from feeling breathless. The results will be back in a week’s time. I am really praying that it’s all good and I can finally put this health issue behind.

I was having random sharp pains on my liver last year and I went to see my GP. Initially they sent me to a battery of tests cause they were worried about cancer. On the last test last year they said the tumor looks benign but they wanted to check it again in 6months time as it was tinier than benign masses. So just to confirm.

I hope the results are positive. I had an ultrasound on my liver a few years back and was told I had NAFLD, but only mild. I wasn’t given any advice or treatment, or medication to take. I’m still here, fatty liver and all.

@Orson_Kart Hahaha I would not be surprised if it is a fatty liver it runs in my family. Maybe we can start a fatty liver club!

@flapiz The good thing about the liver is that it can regenerate. So if you have to have a lump taken off it will likely regrow. If it does turn out to be just a fatty liver, and you need a fatty liver friend, you know where to find me.

I know sometimes I feel like the problems just keep coming. After my MRI yesterday I received a call from the Philippines saying my mum is in the hospital due to a fall. It kinda reminds me of the phrase, “when it rains, it pours.”

@thedevilinme I had issues with my kidneys before puelonephritis but this time it is definitely my liver. They also found problems with my gall bladder.
I feel old.
