Did you know that 80 t0 90 % of people over 60 years old use technology.
Most of them own and use cell phones and laptops.
Even people in their 80's are online every day.
People over 60 years old use online banking, social media.
They own and use cell phones.
Women use technology over 60 years more than men.

I use personal computer at home for entertainment and stuff like this. But I don't have a cell phone. Do you think I am crazy?
Yesterday, I almost hit this man with my car who was hidden from my view by another car. He was walking in the middle of the road with his nose stuck in his phone. Thankfully I was not going too fast so was able to avoid a catastrophe. I don't think he even noticed.

People in their 60s here must use technology, especially the smartphone. To get their senior citizen benefits, they must have an e-wallet. To be in the system they must have an email address.

Uhm... Did you realize that women are 60% more likely to live beyond 80 years old than men?
And yes, I knew that. When I was selling smartphones and computers, it was much more likely for older women to ask me to show them how to work a smartphone than it was for an older man to ask me. (Older men preferred to use flip phones than smartphones.)

A lot of those phones aren’t smartphones though. We have some older Mylotters who still use regular cell phones. I am concerned there is a large population of older people (I don’t consider 60 old so I’m referencing older) who are being left behind. You’re right that most are adapting. But I’m concerned about the few who are barely squeaking by.

That would be me. Yes you are correct. There are more and more things that require a cell phone. For shopping I use a microchip in a piece of plastic.

@DaddyEvil Staying active is a challenge. Still enjoying walks. Would like to do more but not sure what. How are you, thanks for asking. With my computer time I've playing games and reading the news. One of those things is enjoyable.

Yes, I was aware but unfortunately here not so much. Many older people here do use cell phones but have no clue how to use a computer.
I use computers but can't see the tiny print on my cell phone so I don't really try to use it except for taking pictures or creating videos.
