Do your plans for the day often go by the wayside?

I think I need to not try to plan as much as I do. Other than appointments and ''have to do'' things, often things just don't always go according to plan here. Yes, it used to be easier when it was just me. But it's not just me now and it hasn't been for a while, and we are still plugging away here on the son's road to wellness.
My house doesn't get the attention it used to get, but you know what? I do the best I can...and for now, that's enough. Getting us to where we need to be, seeing to his needs and to my own, errands, etc. seem to take up almost all of my time. If only I could plan for the ''unexpected'' that would be great! But I don't know anyone who can really do that, so here we are, just going one day at a time.
Now if I can just stop putting pressure on myself to accomplish the impossible, that would be wonderful.
I need to remember it's all about the goal, the plan can be changed.

I make lists, add the ones I didn't get to on the next list and so on. It's a roller coaster, and you know what? You are right. Something may not get done, but the important things are. It's hard not to feel pressure. I hope you and your son are doing well. I am sorry I haven't been on to say hello.

@MarieCoyle I'm learning some things just are not worth worrying, but it's a progress. It's nice to see you!

Are you still going to work doing your campground thing again soon? I wondered if you had gotten another job doing that and had taken off early to start.

I’m glad to see you here, Loretta!!
Yes, I have reached the point that I do the things that must be done, to get where we have to go. Anything else I can accomplish is fine, but what doesn’t get done I try not to stress over anymore.

When I wrote down my plans in the planner, they usually don't get followed. So I'd rather do things randomly when I feel like it.

We all seem to just do the best we can when the road gets rough. And I have come to the conclusion that’s ok!

@MarieCoyle - Little by little I am relaxing. I have lost several pounds, but I am well, no need to get those pounds back.

As long as you don’t lose too much that’s all that matters.

Something's you have to plan ....if events etc are with others. However, if it's just me or myself and The Mister , we find that very often our plans do get changed. Usually this depends on having the Grandkids or if the weather puts us off doing something.
I used to get stressed if I couldn't get something done that I wanted to do, these days though I shrug more and say, " maybe tomorrow ".

I am trying hard to pace myself, I know I have a tendency to push myself to the limit and I don't need to be doing that. Thank you, Michael.
