I Nearly Choked on My Medication

Ugh! I wasn't dry either. I have been drinking water all day. I take 6 supplements plus my three prescribed medications. One big one got stuck and wouldn't go down. I just kept drinking water until they all decided to go on down. Whoa! Glad I made it through that little adventure.

That is so frustrating when pills decide to do that! That is good you made it through it though

I am glad that you are okay. I don't like swallowing pills myself.

I take 7 prescription pills every evening and 15 prescription pills every morning. I always have water on hand because I KNOW one of them will try to stick in my throat or taste nasty if I wait more than a second or two to swallow them. I'm glad you had water handy.

That's a lot of prescriptions. Yes, water is always nearby.

@celticeagle Yes, I'm trying to cut that number down as quickly as I can. I rarely need the blood pressure meds in the evening. So that's a good start.

I 'inherited' some magnesium tablets left behind by a lodger. I thought I may as well take them myself, because they were just a supplement and could maybe help me sleep, but they were huge! After a couple I gave up and threw them out.

I think I'm just going to take they in 2 steps from now on. Too many big ones.

@celticeagle You might be able to find a different format if you ask.

I have a lot of trouble swallowing large pills. Mostly I take them with food.

That's smart. I am just not used to the amount of big ones I have.
