What do you think of tarot cards ?

This afternoon, as every Monday afternoon my Dad's cousin Alan phoned my Mom .
He told her about the holiday he went on last week. It was okay but he wanted to go home after three days ...
Then he told her that he had a new hobby .....,
Mom was thinking model making or pottery .... But no.....
Tarot readings....
Apparently his Aunt, on his Mom's side of the family read tea leaves and did tarot readings too.
She was really good, and many things that she said did come true.
Anyway ....I have said once he has really got an understanding of it all I would have a reading .
What do you think about tea leaf reading ....and tarot cards ?

@AmbiePam. I'm not sure I will totally believe what he may say and I'm sure if there is anything bad he will tone it down.

All a load of rubbish. 
If someone was reading the tea leaves in the bottom of my cup, it’s only telling me the bag has burst!

@Traceyjayne I know people go to shows where they do mind-reading and clairvoyance etc. I see it as purely entertainment. Like a magic show. You are being conned but are willing to pay money for a fun night out, especially if there is drink involved.

Sounds like there's some Gypsy in that family. I enjoy tarot cards and all things spiritual.

@Traceyjayne .............I was kidding. I don't necessarily believe in the Tarot, but I also do not believe something spiritual is unrealistic either. The spirit world gives those on the other side a way to communicate with us and there is a myriad of ways in which they try to do that. That is my belief.

@JudyEv. Yes, I'm with you on that. I am curious about it as I gave heard some folk saying things which have come true...I guess though you have to be careful as there are a lot of fakes out there .
Whether I actually believe or not ....I'm still unsure about that.

I find tarot cards and tea leaf reading quite interesting, even though I am not sure I believe they can actually predict the future. I think part of the fascination is seeing how someone interprets the cards or patterns and how closely it seems to relate to your life. I would probably have a reading out of curiosity too, just to see what they come up with.

I've always found things like tarot cards and tea leaf readings interesting, although I wouldn't make any important life decisions based on them. I think I'd happily have a reading just out of curiosity and see whether anything seemed to fit my life. ?? Sometimes the interesting part is looking back later and remembering what was said, especially if something unexpectedly comes true. Since Alan has a family connection to it through his aunt, I can understand why he might be interested in learning. I'd definitely let him practise on me once he'd got the hang of it!
