A Me Day

As many of you know, I work full time still.
I took today off as a paid personal day. Today is one such day.
It's a Julia day, all to myself.
Well, for what I would like to do with the day is a more accurate description of today.
I am going to go with Grandpa over to our son's place to finish getting the girls ready for school, and then we will walk part way down the block to where the bus stops. We'll see them onto the bus.
I've only done the morning bus run once, so this is a new for me.
My husband has a new doctor, and will have his meet and greet appointment early this morning. We will go directly over there from our son's place. He shouldn't have to wait, so it should be an easy 15 or 20 minutes and then we will return home again.
Other than that, I have a load of wash in the machine and will turn it over to the dryer before we leave in a bit. I will have it all folded or hung and put away within a little while after we return home again. I am planning on spending some time here on the site. They were calling for spotty showers today, but so far I do not see any clouds, but that can change quickly.

Thank you @Wrexxo I am looking forward to the bus run with the girls.
The doctor's appointment is actually for my hubby, he has been without a family doctor, as there is such a shortage of them here, for a couple of years. I will wait patiently by getting out of the car and stretching my legs by going for a little walk in the area of the office.

@Juliaacv — wow that is high. I hope it’s just “white coat syndrome” (my blood pressure used to be really high when I’d go to the doctor) and nothing serious.

@FourWalls I am like that also and it’s strange that he doesn’t have a splitting headache with that high count.

It’s actually turned into a blessing for me to be able to have gone with my hubs for his meet and greet at the new doctors.
When they took his blood pressure it was 250/150 so he sent him to the hospital. Any medication he could provide would take too long but at the hospital they can give him an IV with it.
He’s been through triage and had an EKG but now we await a turn to see the doctor.
But I just pray that they can lower his blood pressure.

@wolfgirl569 They have to have a change of clothing in a clear plastic bag but they cannot leave them in the cubby at school so that adds to the weight

Hope you'll have a relaxing day.
The weather is so unpredictable these days, one minute they say there's a chance of showers and the next it's going to be sunny and hot ..... I wish they'd make up their minds, can't plan anything if you don't know what to prepare for

Enjoy your "me" day Julia and starting off with the bus run for the girls sounds so nice. I'm smiling just thinking about them going off to school and waving to you and Grandpa.
Hope the doctor meet & greet is quick and that your hubby like the new doctor.
I'm sure you'll fit in some more fun things to do with your day off.
My fun for today is going out to buy yarn

@MarieCoyle Yes, thank you. He used to have high blood pressure but he lost alot of weight and began eating healthy and it looked great as he even got off his medication. Technically he should have a throbbing headache with that number but he doesn’t.
We’ve been here about 4 hours now I think.

I hope they can get his BP down! But of course then they have to figure out just why it was that high. It’s a blessing that you weren’t working today!
