Good Old Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul!

Yesterday my wife and I were a bit under the weather so we both called out and stood home in bed resting taking Dayquil. We both didn't have much of an appetite but then started watching you tube videos of people making soups from scratch and it inspired us both to get up and grab some ingredients and make one ourselves. I bought a baked chicken Lipton extra noodle chicken soup, kale, celery, onions and carrots. I shredded the entire baked chicken and put everything together. It came out phenomenal, we each had two full bowls and the kids pretty much ended up eating the rest of the pot of soup throughout the evening. Today I'm back at work, still have a runny nose but no body aches or sore throat so il be fine. Image is mine

I'm glad you're feeling better and hope the runny nose goes away soon, too. I also hope your beautiful wife is feeling better today. (You could mention I'd let her stay in bed while I make soup for her if you think she'd like that... ) When I don't feel well, I make a can of Campbell's Chicken and Stars soup, heat it up and drink it. When Pretty doesn't feel well, she asks me to make her some chicken soup. I keep frozen chicken on hand and make some for her.

I love chicken soup. I always make it from scratch and with what veggies I have in the fridge. It is indeed soup for the soul.
