Good morning and happy Friday everyone.
I'm home from work today. Yesterday I attempted to work, but only lasted a couple of hours as I was feeling rotten and it progressed quickly.
I have my first head cold of the season.
It is early for this, but here it is My husband is battling a cold bug also, but his symptoms are not as strong as mine are, he fights germs better than I do. He did go out and get a new box of daytime and nighttime cold pills.
I plan on drinking alot of apple juice today and resting/sleeping so that I can recover.
What's new and exciting in your world today?

Pretty and I are both having allergies right now. My weather app shows that pollen is very heavy in our part of the US yesterday and today.
I hope you both feel better quickly.

There is alot of mold on some of the leaves on the trees.
That can affect allergies, but right now not pollen that I am aware of.
I just hope that this nasty head cold passes soon, it is exhausting, between the headache, post nasal drip sore throat, and the nagging cough.

@DaddyEvil Alot of the maple trees have turned colour already, and you can see dark spots on the back side of them which is the mold.

@Juliaacv Good luck with that. I've got the runny nose and cough.
AI says there's lots of ragweed pollen here but no mold.

I think sleep is the best medicine. I get the cold meds that knock me out and just try to stay hydrated. I hope you are feeling better soon. I hate colds.

I hate cold too, but lying down to sleep often leads to my lungs filling up and having pneumonia, so trying to stay in the upright position, although I did lie down twice today
I take the non-drowsy cold medication because the other just causes me to be restless and miserable.

@LadyDuck You will be able to keep busy in the house today and then get your chores done so that when you go out on Monday you are not worried about not finishing things at home.
I laid down for a bit, but only for less than 30 minutes because I do not want my lungs to fill up. Right now it is only a head cold, so I intent on resting reclined and not in bed.

I'm sorry you're both dealing with colds. Head colds really do make you feel miserable. Hope the meds work and the cold doesn't linger.
Nothing much going on here.

I stopped at a fresh soup place yesterday and got some to go. One was done up to last a few days, my husband is eating that now. It is a very spicy chicken soup, I couldn't eat it again, I tried it yesterday, but it just burnt my already sore throat. I had just plain old fashioned chicken noodle soup today, the broth was so smooth and comforting.

I’m sorry you are feeling poorly. I hope you can recover quickly, being sick just isn’t fun at all.

I usually hear people say they are going to drink orange juice when they have a head cold, not apple juice. To prevent any kind of sickness for the cruise maybe I should be drinking both orange AND apple juice.
Hopefully, you and your husband start to heal quickly.

When I was young and in the hospital they always pushed the apple juice, so that habit of drinking it when I am ill, has stuck with me for life.
And I actually crave apple juice when I am not well.
Try to get as much probiotic into your system before you leave, that will help keep your body in a good state that it can fend off germs that would normally make you ill, afterall, 'tis the season.

Oh no, I am so sorry. I hope you recover soon.
What's new and exciting is that, my friend was able to secure a Snoopy glass cup for me and a mini bag as well. I got a confirmation of my iPhone 18 pro max in burgundy, and my iPad Air m4 will be delivered very soon, if not Monday.
